Fitting STEEL CONRODS & HIGH COMPRESSION PISTONS to a C20XE bottom end!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The parts have finally arrived for this ultimate fast road REDTOP Nova build. In this video I build the bottom end up with steel conrods, arp rod bolts and omega high compression pistons. This is going to be a very special car once done!

Great content. Didn’t realise how simple the bottom end of these engines are. I feel like buying one and rebuilding it. If only I had something to put it in .

Double check the torque on the con rod bolts. 25ftlb is for 5/16" bolts. Those con rods use 3/8" which should be torqued to 45ftlb.

Brilliant video again mate, looking forward to the next 1! Any chance you could do a build price on the next video?

Awesome video mate. Its gona be a cracking engine. I.v got an old c20xe in the shed. But unsure weather to go with that or a z20leh for mine.

Thank you, yeah really looking forward to hearing it! Both are great motors, but I would probably stick with an old school XE. Although turbo power is definitely addictive!

Hi Dan, Great video series. To minimise the risk of an oil leak....... is it ok to use a sealant instead of the lube, on the metal oil pump gasket?

Personal preference is the original is fine for the application. That's why I inspected it.
