Basu is talking about short term athletic gains with red meat/whey. How these suppliments will affect you when you turn 40/50/60, that's not covered. Most people live to enjoy life only till 40, but there's whole lot of life after 40 if you really play your cards well. Also with current sedentary lifestyle, you don't need meat at all. Vegetarian protein is more than sufficient. I am 34 yo and train hard in gym without suppliments or meat or eggs. I take hemp protein and little bit of createin (

The whole concept of complete protein was done on pigs and not human. hence i think veg diet is sufficient enough.

Meat was never bad for humans, India specifically has created a what i called food hierarchy, just like caste, UCs wanted people to consume only vegetarian food and looked down on those who consume non veg. The problem with vegetarianism or veganism is that, there can be poor veg meals vs rich veg meals, depending on your culture, cal intake, size of katori, money etc. this is a core problem in india, half the poor to middle class indians are covered with skinny fat, didnt even develop a proper skeleton structure. Calories dont lie. Veggies is a western propaganda, veggies dont have calories, in indian meal you end up getting more calories from oil used in sabzi than the sabzi itself. Eat meat or dairy products in good quantity, understand the hierarchy. Non veg doesn't have hierarchy, you eat meat, you eat exactly what first world citizens are eating, equality, that's the beauty
