You should recreate this video with the title "how to convert any lat pulldown to a chest fly machine for 12$" and you'd get tons of hits and broaden your audience to more than just fitness Reality cage prospectors and owners and instead all home gym audiences ! I'm a growth marketer and would love to give you more tips if you want! Not trying to sound pompous tho, hope you like my suggestion

Whoa! That's a way better title! Man I'm a humble dude! I'll take any help I can get. Thank you I appreciate this one and would be open to any suggestions.
I know this video is around 2 years old, but man, This made my day. I just recently got this cage and lat pull down attachment, and was trying to think of ways to do flys. This is a game changer, and much cheaper than FR's new solution. Thank you good sir, and I just subscribed because of this one video.

Good idea. Did you try hooking each end of the chain to both the top and bottom pulley at the same time. Im. Thinking you will get a more even pull...
@UsawaFitness
2 жыл бұрын
Lol. That's exactly what I did and because of the way the pulley works out doesn't allow you to pull it at all. 🤦🏾
Thanks for the Great DIY setup. I know you said to use a Rope but are are you using a regular rope or a fitness type of rope that stretches ?
@UsawaFitness
3 жыл бұрын
It's just a regular little piece of rope. You could also use a piece of coated wire or even more chain but that rope is going to touch your arm when you close the fly so I found the rope to be comfortable. Thanks for watching I hope that answers your question.
"Hmm looks good, but I wonder if he can do both hands" @9:05 BAM
@UsawaFitness
3 жыл бұрын
LOL, I was referring to the fact that without the modification I could only do a single arm fly before I made my adjustment but I was now able to do both arms with this little set up that I cooked up. Thanks for taking a peek at the video I appreciate you taking the time out to do so. Love and Peace!

It's dope right? It works to Red! Wait till you try it. I got the handles from the kit in my Resistance Band review. I put a link in there but you can use any handle. Let me know what you think about it when you set it up or if you have any questions. Thanks for the support too! I appreciate you taking time out to watch one of my videos.
you should try the chain pull that you have here for seated rows. I think the original low pully is way too low for rows

I'm not sure what you mean.
Is it possible to connect up and down together (no anchor) so that both of them pull weight? I'm waiting for my rack to arrive :D
@UsawaFitness
2 жыл бұрын
Nope it won't work that way because one of them has to be held in place for the other to release. But you can anchor it from the bottom if you need to do a different pull.
I’m curious if this would work for face pulls at eye or chest level, cable external rotations, and other exercises that are between the top lat pulley and bottom row pulley.
@UsawaFitness

It does. I can do everyone of those exercises with this diy. You just change the height of the hook.

Great video man. I’m looking for a cheap barbell with weights. Any recommendations?
@UsawaFitness
3 жыл бұрын
Hey what's up Noah! Man Barbells are expensive! Honestly I usually try to grab mine off of Craigslist or Offer Up. You'd be surprised how often you can find good Olympic Barbells there for cheap. If not you can always go with the CAP Barbell Classic 7-Foot Olympic Bar from Amazon. It's a descent bar from everything I've heard but I've never owned one.

So I was dealing with the same situation not long ago. Just moved and finally getting serious about getting in shape/set up garage gym around the cage. I bought a cap beast bar for around $170 on amazon and couldn't find weights anywhere (or if I found them they were absurdly costly). I bought concrete molds from caveman and started making my own. Not sure how much weight you'll need/want but I just bought the Fitness Gear 300lb set with bar from Dick's Sporting Goods that's actually decent for amount of plates and comes with bar (my Cap is way better but it's not bad as a starter/for lighter exercises). May still be hard to find but they've been restocking and if interested if you keep checking with local stores I'd bet you could snag one. My local store just had a restock and had like 20 sets in.

@@steveneyler1240 True making some is an option too! I know a few people who did that at the beginning of the pandemic.

@Steven Eyler If you can hold off for just a little bit there is going to be an explosion of gym equipment hitting the resale shops and apps really soon. So many people cleaned out the manufacturers at the beginning of the pandemic but most people don't have it in them to workout at home. I'm already seeing it on Offer Up.

Dicks sporting goods sells a 300lbs weight set with olympic barbell for $250. I believe. Thats where i got my weights. I gave the bar to my sister though and bought an ohio power bar from rogue.
What kind of rope are you using? I tried using resistance bands and they weren't strong enough
@UsawaFitness
2 жыл бұрын
It's just a nylon piece that came with one of my other pieces of gear but you could get a piece of pulldown replacement cable and pull this off.
What if you don't anchor it and just have the chain attached to the top and the bottom pulley at the same time?
@UsawaFitness
3 жыл бұрын
I think I tried that and it won't pull at all but let me double check that tomorrow. It's raining so I've got the cage wrapped up but I'll definitely check it and hit you back.
