    Not that it wasn´t fair because of the straps, but the competition should be from 3 disciplines,.. 1 should be the weaknes of the bodybuilder - running, and one should be the weaknes of the fitness model (trap bar). And the third one should be a combine between both, like chin ups. Just from my point of view

    OHP77 TBH, i think a lot of them have too much pride and just think they can lift until they drop or they'll win with ease. Especially if you can do like 15 of something and the limit is 20, you can pump out 2 quick 10s

    Meeharbi, 1) you don't need to train to failure to build muscle. In fact it may impede you since it can ruin your recovery if you do it often. 2) this is a competition to complete reps, not a random gym session. They should pace themselves in order to be most efficient. Otherwise they're almost guaranteed to lose.

    OK guys - if you are one of those complaining about the STRAPS, here's the deal: both were allowed to use them and jil wasn't able to compete without straps, because he has a serious finger injury. you'll see in the future what negative side-effects straps can have in competition IF all contestants agree on using them for a specific battle because of the time factor. samuel was allowed to use them so relax...

    the tall dude committed a mistake when he didnt take a breath on the bench. he gassed out in the very first thing considering it was a long war of 5 stages. and he had chance to take over again but he never got over that BIG mistake I have observed that most of the times young guys wanna go too fast and thats when they risk their bodies too much and gas out while older foos take their time better

  • @911shan

    @911shan

    7 жыл бұрын

    +Spike Lee It's a good idea to go to failure on your last set of the excercise, make sure you have a spotter for the ones that require a spotter. Going every single set to failure does make you lose muscle, because of muscle fatigue. You cannot lift as hard on other sets and it drains your stamina and energy.

  • @xavisimon3095

    @xavisimon3095

    I agree, everyone talk abut straps and the grip, but for me it’s clear that Samuel failed in the strategy getting exhaust trying to go to fast in the press. He could dose the exercise rest in the good moment and win but the worked to failure and after that he needed much more time to recover. There is a big difference between the methods you use to train, and the methods you use for competition.

  • @GuineapigRampage

    @GuineapigRampage

    They do both have the opportunity to use straps, so why shouldnt it be fair? Its just like Brian Shaw said. If the rules do not ban items, its your own decicion to use them or not. Also those straps will help you with you grip, not your back, afaik jil once had an injury on his hand, thats why he uses straps.

    Well mate thats really bad for him! So next time I go in a powerlifting competition I will say to the judges that I need a single ply because I've had serious back injury. If the other competitors don't want to use a single ply too I beat them and claim myself the winner! I understand the competition wouldn't be fair at all if one of them has an injury. But the purpose of the video is to see the strongest, not the healthiest. As a viewer I don't enjoy competitions where one is using straps and the other is not, as much as I don't enjoy competitions where one is injuried and the other one is not. The video was not good that's the point. Next time if one of them is hurt simply skip the Strength War.

    Huge difference! With straps you dont need to rely on your grip as much to hold on to the bar. And if you dont have them on your forearms will begin getting fatigued and causing you to feel tired all together. For a huge part many people cant continue with there reps sometimes due to their forearms not haveing enough strength to hold on to the bar

    Leute, ihr müsst wirklich mal irgendwas gegen dieses Äpfel mit Birnen Strengthwars unternehmen, ständig treten hier Athleten gegeneinander an die mehr als 10 Kilo Körpergewicht bei meistens nochmal mehr Größenunterschied aufweisen, hier ist wieder so ein extremes Beispiel. Die beiden waren relativ nah beieinander, und wären z.B. die Deadlifts, oder die Benchpress mit relativen Gewichten, also z.B. dem Bodyweight gewesen - Hätte das ganze ganz anders ausgesehen. 103 KG bei 180cm vs 92 KG bei 187cm ist einfach nicht fair. Vesteht mich nicht falsch, jeder Strengthwar ist ein kleines Meisterwerk, und man merkt euch die Mühe die ihr rein steckt total an, aber immer öfter braucht man anfangs nur auf die Werte schauen und weiß schon wer gewinnen wird. Bitte entweder ebenbürtige Gegner in Gewichtsklassen suchen, oder die Übungen mit relativen Gewichten machen, wie damals das Squad-Massaker mit BW.

    ehrlich gesagt War das leicht unfair. Jil braucht einen besseren Gegner. War klar das Jil gewinnen wird.

    Power es una bestia, estoy seguro de que podría darle pelea y ganar a más de uno, y Tarrako igual, pero el problema es que le lleva fácil 20 kilos minimo a cada participante xD

    They won't bring these guys, because they are so far away from their countries... Y a parte de eso a powerexplosive no le gustan estas competencias porque se quema su rendimiento, estoy casi seguro que ya lo invitaron y no aceptó porque está concentrado en sacar la dominada más pesada posible, quizás algún día
