Have you owned a Fitbit before? What are your thoughts on all those paywalls in the app? Let me know in the comments section below 👇🏻

Great review. Could you comment on accuracy of step tracking of the charge 6 as well as miscounting steps in day to day activities while moving around the house. I tried the latest Samsung Galaxy Fit3 and found that aside from the range of sync issues in that watch it also terribly miscounted steps in day to day activities. Also is there any other budget fitness tracker you would recommend that is accurate esp with step tracking

Hello 👋🏻 Almost all wearables will under or overestimate steps to an extent due to false hand movements and shorter movements around the house. In my experience the Charge 6 overestimated steps by around 300-500 steps compared to the Garmin Vivosmart 5 and Garmin Venu 2, both of which I wore at the same time as the Charge 6. With that said, I tried the Amazfit Bip 5 recently (almost half the price of Charge 6) but it underestimated steps by around 700-800 steps compared to the two Garmins. Overall the Charge 6 is not that far off and sufficiently reliable. Ultimately, the steps are only a rough estimate whichever wearable you buy, I wouldn't worry a lot about the steps accuracy. Hope that helps 😀

Hello 👋🏻 thanks for watching! You can find all the info on using Googe Wallet on the Charge 6 here: support.google.com/fitbit/answer/14236521?hl=en#zippy=%2Cwhy-dont-i-see-the-google-wallet-tile%2Chow-do-i-set-up-contactless-payments You need to make sure your card is supported first, use this link to check: www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/google-apps/banks Here are the steps once you've confirmed your card/bank is supported: To start, add at least 1 credit or debit card from a participating bank in the Fitbit app: -With your device nearby, from the Today tab in the Fitbit app, and tap the devices icon . -Tap your device, then tap the Google Wallet tile. -Follow the on-screen instructions to add a payment card. In some cases, your bank may require additional verification. -If you’re setting up contactless payments for the first time, you may be prompted to set a 4-digit PIN code for your device. Note that you also need passcode protection enabled for your phone. -After you add a card, follow the on-screen instructions to turn on notifications for your phone (if you haven’t already done so) to complete the setup. -You can add additional cards and choose which card to set as the default payment option on your device from the Google Wallet tile. Hope that helps 😀

Thanks for the info and what's the button on the charge 6 charger USB cable?

Hello. There isn't any button on the cable as far as I know and seen when I tested it. If you're referring to the golden pins, those are the magnetic charging pins that latch onto the Charge 6 when you charge it. The circular thing on the USB-A side is not a button, it just glows when the fitbit is charging. All I got was a standard USB-A to Magnetic charging cable. For info, this is the charging cable I got: www.fitbit.com/global/uk/products/accessories/charge6-charging-cable The circular thing on the USB-A side is not a button, just glows I think when you charge it. Hope that helps 😀

Hi, I like this good review. Still, it shows still the appealing, friendly and easy to consume look and feel of the old application. Meanwhile Fitbit updated this to a rather unappealing, gray-green one with fat icons, messed up the easy usability of the sleep statistics, removed the possibility to change the recorded sport category, and some more strange design decisions. A pity as the app was before reeeeally good. Now many users are pretty annoyed and angry in the community. Would love to see Fitbit going back to the good design before.

Hello! Yes I agree, the Fitbit app updated very recently after filming this to a colour scheme that isn't really intuitive unfortunately! Other apps like Garmin Connect have a much better UI.

    What chest strap

Hi 👋🏻 I use the Polar H10 chest strap which uses Electro-cardiogram (ECG) to gather HR data (instead of optical sensors like on the Charge 6 and most other wrist-based wearables). Polar H10 is one of the most accurate ones out there, used commonly by athletes and is often considered the gold standard for HR measurements. Link here: www.polar.com/uk-en/sensors/h10-heart-rate-sensor Hope that helps 😀
