Would love to see a tow test pulling a 3000 pound boat. There is no video of this I can find. The Tesla Model Y can do about 140 miles total pulling a 3000 pound boat.

Awesome video Matt! Question. I never got the tow hitch or electrical port. Is this something I can install off market? I see some 2in add-ons. But not sure how to get the electrical port towards the back.

From what I know, the electrical port has to come from the factory. The hitch receiver can be added later. I know there are quite a few people that ordered the hitch with the car but didn't receive it. There may be aftermarket ones available at some point from companies like Etrailer/Curt/Draw-Tite.

Yes, the hitch receiver is available just by itself if optioned that way.

Thanks for the video. Any idea how you can attach a manual brake controller system like the Tekonsha? Usually there is wiring from the 7-pin electrical to somewhere near the steering wheel but when I asked Fisker previously, they had no idea and stated there was no wiring from the brake pin to the front.

Is there an issue of the rear camera seeing hitch attachments as obstacles and sounding alerts? I thought I saw that in a FO video recently, but maybe it's been corrected? Also, can you recommend a brake controller for trailer towing? I appreciate all your videos!

Does the FOE come with a built-in hitch? I realize the towing package adds electrical and increased towing weight.

None of the trim levels come with a hitch receiver. There is a hitch receiver option and a full towing package with includes the electrical.

Thanks for steering me in the right direction. I guess I will need to find a 3rd party option so I have a way to attach my bike carrier. I've secured a FOE from Classic Fisker and hoping to take delivery within the next 2 weeks.

@@theslimshadyist I would contact Classic and see if they can order the hitch receiver. It can be installed after purchase (unlike the electrical).

I look at the pin outs for the Ocean and the pin outs for a trailer brake controller I found on Amazon and they matched up. Before purchasing a trailer brake controller, make sure the match.

@@lumberjackdreamer6267 There is nothing in the owners manual about a trailer brake controller. The only thing it lists is that there is a 7 pin outlet by the hitch.

@@MTNRanger Ok. Those are 2 different things. The 7 pin connector is connected to the trailer. A trailer brake controller is connected to the vehicle system. It’s required for towing above 3500 pounds.

@@lumberjackdreamer6267 The Ocean AWD trims have a max towing capacity of 3500 pounds. There is no trailer brake controller on the Ocean.
