Very interesting... good to know tip. I was inflating tires using the 12V outlet with the same results. Thank you!

You can also try buckling the drivers seatbelt. That works for me in my Rivian R1T.

I did that keeping the key fob inside the car when using a portable inflator to inflate the tires after pickup. Without the key fob inside, power was shut off after a few minutes. I'll experiment with how long power can stay up by sleeping inside the car under the rain or starry night ;-) Camping mode?

I cant' seem to get my outlet working on my FOU. Turned on car just like you do int he video but do not get power out of the outlet. Is there anything you need to change on the settings on the main screen? If not, looks like I'll need to add a service ticket. Thanks

Did you happen to notice if your main battery level dropped? Would buckling the seatbelt also help fool the system?

I doubt it was an appreciable amount, most likely pulls from the 12V battery first.

QUESTION: Is there any way that if I drive to the store with my family and leave them in the car do you know how they can lock the car since they don’t have a car lock on their door. If I look the car when I leave to go in there store it turns off everything like the radio.

I just had this situation a few days ago. I left them the key in the car. Eventually there will be HVAC modes like pet mode. Even in my Tesla, the radio will not stay on if I lock the car and I’m not inside.

Hi MTN Ranger, a good and eye-opening test again. There's an adapter in the trunk that gives you a power outlet at the charging point on the left-hand side. The power should be permanently available there to supply the house or similar in the event of a power failure. But I don't think that works yet, does it? I haven't been able to test it yet..

The V2L adapter is not active yet. I’ll be testing when it does. The V2L adapter is only for a small power draw since it is only 120V. The future V2H ability will require a bi-directional charger such as the upcoming Wallbox Quasar 2.

@@MTNRanger Here in Germany we have there CCS and with Adapter 230 Volt and 3000 Watt (as at the outlet in the trunk) - enough power and useable for heating etc. for some time. Fortunately, we've only had one power cut here in all these years, when an excavator cut the line. But you never know what's coming and having an option like this is very good. Have a good time.

@@MTNRanger What do you consider a small power draw? Do you suspect it can be a practical generator replacement (fridge, couple lights, maybe a heat source) in an emergency/outage on V2L? I have the Chargepoint 50amp hardwired in at my house, so not in the market for a new charger anytime soon. Was counting on this being able to power some things in a pinch..

1600w is a pretty good amount. That'll power the essentials -- now hopefully it's easy to keep active without unlocking the car, and lasts a long while.@@MTNRanger

@@o0Dan0o It's not just the sensor, the car needs to be in ready, which means pressing the brake. Or keep the key fob in the center console.
