From what I learned from a person in the Fisker Ocean One Facebook forum, the Entertainment system is using an Intel Atom A396 processor which runs at 1.9/4.0 GHz. This is essentially the same chip Tesla previously used before they switched to the Ryzen chips. This Intel chip was created in 2016 and put into use in 2017. So, it's already a 6 plus year old processor for the workhorse running the system when I thought Fisker wanted everything to be of present technology. I'm sure it will work fine, but not like the chip Tesla is using...

I was hoping it was the software making it slow which could be fixed and not the hardware...Even with Tesla's software chops, the Intel Atom was pokey compared to the much faster Ryzen.

Great video. I saw Kyle from Out of Spec do a mini review of the Ocean's infotainment system at CES. Looks good, also, the head designer gave a good explanation for why they're designing certain things from the ground up and aren't going the generic Android Auto route. By the way, this is slightly unrelated, but I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the checkerboard skylight caused by the solar panels. I kinda wish i could order the top end model without it. Thoughts?

I’m excited the first drives are coming. The Checkerboard style roof will be polarizing IMO. Probably a good first buy for aftermarket purchases is a skin that reduces the checkerboard effect. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!

Great video! Thanks. What are your thoughts about the music streaming services? Is there an ability to add others - Sirius/XM, Pandora, Tidal, Apple Music? It seems silly to brag about the quality of the Soundsystem and not offer music services that can provide better quality streaming.

There are definitely streaming services that offer higher quality audio. I’m guessing that the ones shown in the manual will be the only ones available upon initial release. The highest quality audio solution would be from a high quality file on a USB drive, which is possible in the Ocean. Most of my audiophile friends do this to take advantage of the systems their vehicles are equipped with. Until they add the other services, the USB or Bluetooth would be the best work arounds. I agree, Apple Music is a good service. There’s almost no likelihood that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be added. The interface developer confirmed that those services aren’t coming. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!

Holy cr@p you're good! No idea where you found all that, but yet again another indication of your benchmark thoroughness! Question that's been nagging me, one of the listed options for the Fisker Ocean is recycled floor mats. Is that to suggest that the car comes with no floor mats unless you order these, or are the standard floor mats just not made of recycled materials? I'm getting concerned that Fisker seems to be following the Porsche pricing model, where everything down to floor mats is an option and thus there is little price advantage over say a Tesla Model Y AWD that comes with everything. Why would a car that markets itself as affordable and sustainable have recycled formats as an option vice a standard? While this and other options does scream bespoke, it does not scream volume pricing. Thanks!

No floor mats included based on the information I can find. I think Fisker was set up to bring a great car to market at a great time, and then inflation hit hard. It helped them raise capital for a short time, but now, it’s all about survival, and the only way they could honor the pricing model they had set in 2019 was to make all these packages extra. It hurts, but I am hopeful they will endure through the production launch and be able to provide quality products into the future. For now, we’ve gotta pay the early adopter tax and throw in a few extra bucks on floor mats. Thanks for your insight, Cheers!

Pretty sure no floor mats unless ordered. Pretty much every car I’ve ordered/bought new in the last many years is this way. Car dealerships with new cars on the lot just order them this way, so maybe you never noticed they were an option? Look on the window sticker of the last new car you bought or any new car, and you’ll see them listed as an option and how much they were.

Great video, encouraging UI/UX. Unfortunately Fisker seems to share Musk's arrogant belief that their infotainment system, however beautiful, can replace all the functionality provide by third-party apps on my phone. Has Fisker talked about a paid subscription model for any of their features? That seems to be where the industry is going, have been encouraged that Fisker doesn't seem to be there yet.

The best information we have is from the Configurator. The connectivity subscription option has not been confirmed. However, premium connectivity may be exclusive to the Ultimate Package, making it a $5900 option. I’m hoping for a subscription alternative. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!

Question- I just noticed that my Ocean reservation date is different from the order date in my account. Why is that and how did Frisker Company determind the order date that was several months later from the reservation date? Thanks in advance!

There is no Apple car play available on the Fisker Ocean. The Navigation looks to be connected to the cellular connection, which has not been confirmed at standard equipment at this time. If I find out more, I’ll let you know. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!

It doesn't seem to have XM radio I've had it subscription with Sirius XM for years and years it would be very disappointing if they wouldn't have XM radio do you know anything about it?

Anyone know about adding apps (maybe Plex) to the infotainment system? Anyone know if USB can be used for playing media? The published or leaked manual quoted in the video says USB can be used for this, but previous Fisker press kits say USB is for charging only. Thanks.

Looks like fisker just updated thier configurator and sent out emails about it today. My question is, I just want smart cruise control, but there's a smart pilot feature on the configurator, but it costs $5900??? That's insanely over priced if that's all it is

Great video. To all of those competing this car to Tesla. Please understand this at once. Fisker IS NOT competing against Tesla. Full stop. Stop comparing every new EV to Tesla. If you are dying so much for a Tesla then break your bank and go over paid for an ipad on wheels. Simple as that.

If you haven’t done this already, it would be interesting to find out what percentage of reservation holders will forfeit their $250 order fee if the IRS decides that Oceans delivered in 2023 do NOT qualify for the $7,500 tax credit.

I thought converting the reservation to an order in August 2022 guarantees the $7,500 tax credit. Isn't it a sure thing yet? If so, I might give up on my Ocean Extreme order and switch to Tesla Model Y since the price dropped by $13,000 and is now eligible for the new $7,500 tax credit, which makes it a crazy deal.

What about sport trim without ultimate overpriced pkg. What will we have, will I have streaming capabilities, or only people that buy that overpriced pkg. Can I buy the ultimate pkg,, later, will it be available over updates, will I have rotating screen, or has to be ordered with pkg.

These are all great questions. Based on the information available in the configurator, there may be many features that aren’t standard on the Sport, including streaming and connectivity. The Rotating screen has hardware involved, so if Fisker includes the hardware on every unit, the upgrade would potentially be available later, but no info yet. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!

@Aslash304 so what's the point having such a big screen if you can't basically do any streaming. I don't wanna use Bluetooth to listen to music, that's already outdated. All tesla have streaming capabilities for just $10 per month, he doesn't charge extra $5900 just to be able to do that. We'll see but this may break the deal once we know for sure.

We’re here’s a question nobody’s asking what about the damn stock price I mean we’re doing all these clips about the ocean and it’s like everyone is just totally ignoring the damn stock price. That’s the most important thing about the company itself with new stock price for his new car, so please people that work at the fucking stock price I’ve seen enough pictures in enough technology about the car now it should be all about the stock price and nothing more

Mcgreedy- stock price has very little to do with the success of a product or a company for that matter. Fisker's stock price is being suppressed by short selling crooks who make a living off of driving bad news so they can sell their shares at a premium while everyone else is taking a hit. Fisker unfortunately is the new Tesla target in terms of short sellers determined to make money by slowing EV adoption because one, most of them got their clocks cleaned on shorting Tesla for years and many of them are also knee deep in traditional fossil fuel stocks right now since they're up. That said, I bought Tesla years ago at 20 and sold at well over 1,000 and laughed all the way to the bank. By low, sell high, be patient! FSR is a great buy. (*not a broker and this is not personal financial advice. Different strokes for different folks.)

I have a info If you DO not BUY 5900dollars Ultimate update packed for ultra, Henrik Fisker has cancled Automatic wiper function.. WTF.. that is simply stupied that is standart in a cheap toyota yago. that nearly only have a cost price for the whole car as this update cost alone in the Ocean
