Fishing with Sliced Bread and Pellets - Great Session on the Float Rod!

Ойын-сауық

Fishing with Sliced Bread and Pellets - A great session on the float fishing rod! Anyone wanting a fish-fest of a film surely won't be disappointed with tonight's film. It's almost an hour long of tips and fish action with Graeme meeting up with shore angling guide Craig Butler to see what they could catch at Somerset's Barton Springs Fishery. This is just a regular day ticket venue which the duo attack with a mixture of pole fishing (that's got to be Craig, Graeme can't get on with the pole) and surface fishing and a bit of margin float fishing by Graeme. The wind is howling and they have to move from their first choice of swims, but they combine tactics and techniques to bend the rods, and stretch the pole elastic on fish after fish..If you are a beginner this could be the guide to stillwater success for you....Baits ? Bread..Sweetcorn...Pellets..Maggots...How simple can it be...sit back and enjoy!

Who needs boilies, chod rigs, 10kg leads, size 2 hooks, and 5 rods with £5000 alarms all chucked 300m out on the far bank when you can have an awesome day on some bread and a float rod. Very refreshing video.

I remember getting a nice fishing umbrella as a birthday gift when i was 14 years old, all the cool kids had them and no one had bivvies or shelters back then. I took it straight to the local lake for a session and set it up all proudly. Didn't catch any more fish though, just sat under it all proud until a gust of wind took it over a barbed wire fence behind me and tore it to tatters. Then my mum tore me to shreds for ruining it too. Wasn't the greatest fishing trip for sure :)

Just my opinion, but I am like you in that I prefer the feel of a rod and reel. I think you can control the fish better. As I said, a really interestig vid, Graeme. Thanks for taking the time, lots of different tecniques and tips in this one. Long may you continue. Keep well and stay fit, nice one.

I slide a pellet band onto the hook, preferably a band with a little tag to slide on the hook. i then use one of the wifes pastry cutters to cut out circles of bread and roll it up , slide it into the band as you would a pellet and bobs your uncle. i have caught carp up to 18lbs with this either on the float or freelined . It works ,give it a go

No can do I'm afraid.I'm not taking a boat out in Storm Ellen and the surf on the beaches are dangerous...that's why I do all-round angling,so I dont get disappointed as I can take a crack at anything.

Can I ask you why when talking to ppl watching you refer to boys? Do you not think that females also watch your channel as plenty of ladies out there that fish? And also the guy using a fly rod why did he wobble the fly about while the hook was still in its mouth. I love your channel but please don't give anyone ammo against you!
