    Demonstrating things like walking the dog is helpful for guys just getting into the hobby. Teaching the technique and nuance of working a particular bait in the given conditions is a good way to get very useful content out of a slow day. Keep the lines wet and the cameras rolling!

    Plus if you want to get someone hooked on fishing... that first topwater blow-up from a big snook will create a saltwater junkie every time 💯🤣

    Took a trip to Gulf Shore Thursday. Drove from Kentucky . Couldn’t wait to go to hooked up bait a tackle. I spent a lot of money in there. I had so many choices. I had to buy some of your gear as will. It worked perfect for me. Went back early Friday morning to get more gear and had a conversation with your brother. He knows his stuff. I love what you doing and your preparing me cause I have plans to move close to saltwater soon

    Love to watch your videos and learn about what and how you do it. You had recently commented that Toadfish had sent you some rod and reels and was looking for some feedback on them before I buy some. Also thank you for recommending sord filet knives. I bought the serrated and love it. Thank you for all you do.

    Whopper Ploppers are my new favorite for smallmouth bass here in TN. I don't think I would ever bass fish if I lived down on the coast though. Very boring compared to saltwater fish though.

    Just got my hobie from Fairhope boat co and looking for places to launch in Orange Beach/Gulf Shores. I’d like to launch at that area around the 6-7 minute mark. Where is that? Seems calm enough for a beginner. The canal, Ono island, the pass, etc… is just a bit too rough for me.

    Do mullet out there get to any size? I caught a 6lb+ grey mullet in a harbour in Ireland and it ripped line off. Floatfished a pinch of bread on a size 10 hook in 18 inches of water. Good fight.

    mullet in the gulf waters eat grass-they are vegetarians, only way to catch them for bait is cast net or snagging-which is not legal.

  • @17losttrout

    @17losttrout

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@cyclonedronz7861 I think they might be the same mullet we get (I just did a search on Gulf mullet). The flathead striped mullet in the gulf seem to be the same... I've eaten them in NZ, but in the UK people often associate them with hanging around near sewage pipes, so are less inclined. Bread is a good bait for them, but they'll take worm. Known to have soft mouths, so can't be bullied in too hard. They go like the clappers though!
