FISHING ROD RESCUE: EPISODE 1 (GIVE YOUR OLD ROD A NEW LEASE ON LIFE)

Спорт

This will be the first episode in my "Rod Rescue" playlist where you can follow along with me as I restorate / rebuild some of my old ratty fishing rods and upgrade them a little in the process. In this video, I am reviving a $50 fiberglass Offshore Angler "Sea Lion". It does have a tough fiberglass blank which is its' only redeeming quality. I could not bear to throw it out because I have a lot of great memories made with this rod. Most people would probably just throw it out, but I am a sentimental type of guy even with "junk stuff". I spent about $40 on parts. The initial investment for tools and basic materials is usually between $120 - $150, but the tools will last a lifetime if you care for them properly. Parts, consumables are really cheap and can last a while as well provided you store them properly. That's enough of me. Enjoy the video! PLEASE LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE!

Nice it looks great. Best part about fixing up a rod over the winter is putting it to use once the cold weather lets up.

Good stuff Dave. Want to get into bucktail making. Maybe near future you could do a video on that.
