I have so many happy memories fishing welham in the 90's as a kid, didn't really know what I was doing (still don't now), didn't own a bivvy so used to stay up all night fishing with a night float catching tench and the odd eel. Caught a few commons which were probably about 6 lb but at the time they were massive. Well done lads making memories as a family, OMR just needs to work on his netting skills lol.

My lad caught in the first hour. Only 5:5 pounds but great start but then nothing else at all but that’s fishing. Then went day fishing on Saturday and caught my pb of just over 16 pounds so happy days

Recently did a 48 hour trip to Westlands syndicate with my son. They have a glamping pod with electric and light and a nice big wood chipped double peg. Proper luxury but back to slumming this weekend in the bivvy at messingham sands. Keep the videos coming 👍

Yeah very muddy but as you say it’s winter and it’s been a wet one! Awesome lake for a bend in the rod though

Aye the mud was very annoying haha especially trying to keep things clean within the Bivvy 😅

I fished wellham over the winter managed to get the koi as the first fish of my winter ticket😊
