In this fishing video I got trout fishing in the middle of downtown Gatlinburg! There is a small creek that runs straight the middle of this urban tourist town that is full of fish! I go try my best to figure how to catch these fish in the middle of the city! After a lot of trial and error I figure out a little pattern with the help of a fellow angler! Follow along to see how it all goes down and if I can catch these big downtown Gatlinburg fish!

one of my best memories of my late grandfather was on the same river in Pigeon Forge. We were staying at what is now the Creekstone Inn, caught a nice trout right below the hotel and cooked it on the riverbank for dinner. I am sure you can't do that now. He passed in 98, everything in that area has changed since. Thanks for bringing back some good memories Alex.

You should see the bears that roam those creek banks towards the upper end , & thats hilarious how they throw those trout in when you have these people that freak out bc you dint wet your hands when handling a trout.

Definitely some irony and fishing under the aquarium, and those are some beautiful fish you caught in that first hole. And then going to that one under the bridge where you just hooked into some good ones. Those are really nice but they were acting all kinds of crazy. Great content as always. And I really enjoy the fact that you are so excited about this new species and fishing for them and learning. I personally use a black a pink crappie jig and I do alright with size and quality

I also have a 6'6" medium fast Berkley Cherry wood that I have used for 8 years now as a ned rig rod. Dude your gonna be a trout master in no time!!!

Little Tip: There is on the street parking for free there by the river on River Rd if you can find it. Usually during the week it's pretty available. Great place to fish year round. Also, below Norris Dam all the way to 2nd Baptist in Clinton is some of the south's best trout fishing. Some of my fav places to go

Before you know it, you'll have a drift boat floating down the South Holston River trying to trick a 10 pound brown into taking a dry fly LOL! I use to trout fish Gatlinburg back in the 80s, always enjoyed it. Back then there were a lot less people and this time of year most of the businesses were closed..........and you could park on the side of the streets. It was a pretty cool time in Gatlinburg but there's no off season anymore. Go check out below Norris Dam, use to be some great trout fishing and I'm sure it still is. They use to have some big browns and they loved to eat a jerkbait.

hey Alex! Dude that’s my old past time, catching trout in helen, Ga and NGa streams!! Man, I miss that. I haven’t been in prob 4yrs. The first thing I was going to say is grab a panther martin tiny spinner and you’re in business. Another ole faithful option is a tiny pink worm below tiny spit shot. I love that cause it’s a visual bite !Great vid!

Trout sure are fun on ultralight gear and spinners. 2 things to try...first is a size 0 or 1 ball bearing snap swivel to cut some of the line twist. Second if they're real skittish then tie on a fly with a small cork float as your strike indicator. I like the old school plain cork over florescent colors. A little more stealth. Blessings brother

We call that type of fishing here in pa "bucket fishing". Throw anything that looks like a pellet. Also known as pelletheads. What you need to do is travel up small creeks looking for natives or fish that have been landlocked from high water events that have dropped and kept the fish locked in one area of a ceek.
