Grew up fishing that very spot and when I moved out of the parent's house my first flat was in Durnford Street. Was great just walking down to fish with a rod and a bag. That was about 35 years ago and I'm not sure that I've even walked down there since. Shame about the bottom area, I think that's where I first ever fished.

Great to see that mark. Many many years ago we used to scuba dive around the point at slack water. Barn pool opposite is very deep - the commercial divers used to train from a barge moored up there. Thanks for sharing.

Barn pool side is good to fish but a pain if you get anything big on as it’s drops right off. I’ve lost big eels that side , glad you enjoyed it

Can be an interesting venue on the day mate

You have got far more settings on the Armytek torch. You have a fire fly mode which gives you the max lummins.

The only problem with armytec light is that it’s a krypton factor to operate. You do get used it but the highest setting you found you can flick from that to turbo mode which is bright. It’s a read the instructions and watch a video on it. Hope you look at it again as I use mine all the time.

Some biggggg congers come off there before, well done on the fish to.
