Very different and absolutely cool. Your shadow worked against you at first. When you kept seeing the bigger fish I was on the edge of my seat. The big one at the end that turned on your bait just like a fresh water bass was completely fooled. Great video and very enjoyable 😎

Hi, Bowly. I just discovered that you have your own channel after watching a fun islands day-trip you did with our friend Matt on his Contender. Your solo outing on the flats was a treat to watch. Sight-fishing is my favorite, but I never see as many species as you did. Now that I've signed up for more of your adventures, I have a favor, the same one I've asked (unsuccessfully) of Matt: For those of us who aren't based in Australia it's REA'LLY difficult to figure out what species of fish you're talking about unless you give the full name. For instance, here you see and catch a couple of "goldens." They were clearly jacks of some sort, but only a bunch of Googling led me to, "The golden trevally (Gnathanodon speciosus) is also known as the golden kingfish, banded trevally or king trevally." If you (and Matt) would rather not fully identify the species while you're fishing and shooting videos, could you put the information in the "SHOW MORE" section instead? Just a thought, Chris '

Damn! I just realized that in my comment, I confused the issue by referring to goldens as "jacks of some sort." What I meant was the species known as "jacks" over here, in the Atlantic. As I understand it, what YOU call "jacks" are what we call "snapper." Similarlly, what you call "cod," we call "grouper." It's one helluva mess!

  • @bowlysfishing

Hey bud, I’ve never used snaps before. I’d rather just be straight connected to my lure and not have an added thing that can go wrong as well as potentially be noticed by a fish.
