your videos motivated me a ton! i wanted to start skating over a year ago but i thought i’d be too old. now i’m 18 and found your channel through your comment on michelle hongs video. seeing how well you skate after just 3 years, gives me so much hope, motivation and determination! keep it up!!

I started when I was about 13, but I quit after bat 2-4 months because of my foot injury and corona, im thinking about starting again (im 14 and a half) im super nervous because im also doing taekwondo on the side (been doing for 5years and don't want to quit but I love both sports so much and wish I started figure skating earlier) *EDIT* omg I watched the video- how long have u been skating ur AMAZING- how did u process so fast how much did u train? any tips?

What were your previous blades? I’m going to buy new ones, but someone told me that gold seals will be too difficult for me becaouse of 8 rocker, and I should try coronation ace. But is it really that difficult? What is your feeling about that?

Im thinking of upgrading to the pianos. I currently have the risport royal with the pattern 99 blade. Im between the jw gold seal and jw gold seal revolution. Im leaning more towards thee standard gold seals because the revolution seems to have more drawbacks. I basically just like the aesthetic of the revolution but the plate material causes them to wear out faster. Ive heard it hard to grip the blade in spins and that unless you have a good skate tech they are particular when it comes to sharpening. All these factors make me lean more towards the standard gold seals. How is your experience with them? What would you recommend?

I loveeee my revolutions!! I’ve had the same pair since this video so it’s been over two years and they’ve still got plenty of life in them! They’re a little bit harder to grab but you adjust pretty quickly, I’d say I haven’t had any problems. I’d definitely recommend revolutions!☺️

I’ve had both, pianos and ice flys are both really comfortable and used for triples and quads but the ice fly’s are also used for doubles. Having said that, pianos are more stiff with more foot support because they are higher level boots. Overall if you can’t do any triples or quads, don’t get the pianos unless your feet need extra support and stick to ice flys. Plus Ice flys are prettier :) but yess pianos are comfortable.

She’s incredible, only been skating for 2 years and already has some hard jumps down. There’s never “not good enough” she’s hardworking and loves this sport, if she can afford to buy those skates for herself then it’s her achievement.
