Looking at your plans, I'm not a fan of boxing in the toilet. It makes it harder to clean around. Seeing the toilet means it get cleaned. Familiar yourselves with handicap handles. It's easy to frame in provisions for a later install. In narrow bathrooms use pocket doors. If someone falls to the floor and can't get up, no one is going to be able to render help if the door can't be swung open because there is a body in the way. 👍

This channel is 1000x better than anything Netflix produces. Amazing job, guys!

GM WWOG! I was SO glad to see you call in the boys to help stand up that wall! I'd love to see them more involved with the build. Ellie in the background cheerleading was such a pleasure! This addition is coming along beautifully. The love of your family shines through. And of course, safety first. You folks are living my dream. Honestly. My greatest regret is not taking that leap of faith and just doing it years ago. The only difference is I dreamed of using a barn or pole barn and building a house on the inside. Now, it is common. When I first started thinking of it in the early 90s, most people thought it was an insane idea. I'm in my 50s now and rather beat-up from poor job decisions, but still hoping to see my dream fulfilled. Lol

Congratulations on doing all that dangerous work, safely. My husband and I always got along best when we were building a house, remodeling or out buildings. We finished our last house when he was 62. I was 47. Took us a year of weekends. We were both working full time. Kids were all gone. He’s gone now but I have rehabbed 4 houses since. Mostly by myself. Again congratulations.

I'm so glad you both decided to ask the boys for help, you two have done most the work without asking them for touch help, which is great, but now it's time to.bring them into the build,let them.lrarn how to do what you two are learning and for them to learn how to lay block, block laying is a very good treat and pay very well, but I don't see them becoming masons but maybe be one a electrician and the other one as well but also learning other things to do and make a good living out of it, you guys are doing a wonderful job and I can't wait to see the finished product of the house, I know it's going to look amazing when it's all said and done , thanks for sharing all your experiences with us all and may God bless each of you and all your followers, love ya all👍✌️
