Those vacuum petcocks are great on paper but they rarely work correctly after a few months. First year I had my buggy I went through a handful of them before I gave up and went back to a manual one.

  • @butchs.4239

I actually prefer a manual petcock, because you can shut the fuel off, run the engine till the carb bowl is dry, and put you toy away knowing the carb isn't going to gunk up from fuel evaporation.

I throw those things in the trash any time I get a personal vehicle with them. I abominate vacuum petcocks with savage, implacable undying hatred which will outlive the heat death of the universe and the last vacuum petcock.

Another great show! I'm going to try and find one of these Dueces. Still working on my dingo, getting ready to stretch it then hopefully find a 2wd quad to modify a suspension set up for it. I'm going to pick up a 420 predator to power it. Still not sure what I'll use as the drive. I would love to set up a shaft drive with cv axles. I got a long way to go! Lol keep up the great work, looking forward to more vids on the duece.

Depart on the steering is called a straight clamp. What do you need to join two pieces of support strange at the Pole. If you do it mid-span, you use a pickle.

You should get you a canister of an ECS for the threads of those kind of bolts so they don't seize together. It's good to put it on spark plug threads and any thread that gets hot or threads that bolt into different kinds of metal like a steel bolt into an aluminum block you put anti seize on those threads and they come out really easy but maintain their tightness while being used

Hi Greg, I saw you installed the steering bolts from the bottom up on the wheel arms. That is unsafe due to if the nuts come loose gravity will cause the bolts to drop out cause loss of control. You should always install bolts downward on steering systems.

It looks like you may need to cut off the steering mounts on the spindles and weld them at an angle closer to straight on with the wheels...it looked like there is plenty of room inside the rims to move them out there a bit...

The reason I asked that question is I am about to start a build of off road mud mower I'm sure you know what that is. I think that would be a good set up for that particular application. In the past are used to work at a place where we sold the Manco deuce new. I have searched and I have not been able to find any kind of information on what forward and reverse transmission than it used. I do know that it ran a 40 size torque converter.

Well believe it or "not"...I was heading I-40 east from Bethpage Tn with the sack full of money and all the parts when a large jackelope jumped in front of my rig , busted my radiator, causing my engine to over heat and blow up. I then had to spend the sack full of money for the labor to have it fixed and I traded the go-karts and mini-bikes for the parts to fix the truck. Cool build by the way...can't wait to see it done. also, on a serious note. I do have some things I would like to send you either as a wall hanger or to use in one of your builds. Where can I send it to?

Wali ok do they have one which would stand up to the 420? Just curious I haven't saw one. Also make sure it has some wiggle room between the HP of the engine and gearbox so it will last and more if you plan on building it.
