If the exhaust bolt has a cross hatch cut into it, you're supposed to ba able to take the blade of a good sized flat blade screwdriver and use it to crack the bolt loose and remove it. Briggs and Stratton used it on their 3.5 and 5hp horizontal shaft engines with the vacuflow jet carb with the tank attached. This was done as it was impossible to get a socket on it and extremely difficult to use a wrench

In your battery setup, if you use positive terminal from one battery and negative from the other, that will better distribute load amongst the 2 batteries.

I feel like the better battery setup would be like how a semis and most diesels with a 24v-48v system. Where its negative to positive. Then the free negative is ground and the free positive is used. What ive been used to doing and seeing lol but heck, whatever works.

Red beard you should make a 4x4 buggy or kart using a small car manual transaxle ND 670 predator weld the spider gears together in the transaxle ND turn it side ways ND make some off set diffs it would be easier if you could use a automatic transmission if the 670 has enough power handle the toque converter ND gear shifts maybe a stall converter would help some

Those reverse gearboxes on eBay are only good to about 11 hp, that big twin will definitely break it.

www.gokartsupply.com/mobile/4044seri.htm apparently there is a reverse wound spring available to switch the driven around. Just for future reference.

i cringed every time Greg picked up an engine. not because i was worried he'd hurt himself, but that you guys would keep using that "Gee mister, you're really strong" sound clip over and over. it got old the second video you used it in. lol. deuce is looking awesome.
