    I really wish I had a garage or shop to start building my buggy. I've only collected parts at this point. Wish I can start building. But with all you guys here on KZread building these things, its keeping me motivated to want to build.

    Hangloose you think someone gave all my tools and my house to me? It has taken a lot of work and 12 years to build this garage to what it is. I remember eating popcorn for super when I was a kid. Everyone has bad circumstances its just how you handle it and move forward from it.

    I've acquired a lot of tools over the last 6 years and I still have quite a lot more that i would like to have. Once my wife and I can move into a house, I can begin building. Hopefully that'll be by 2020, long as my current job can keep my hours steady.

If you look in comments from that video where they got those 2 - 212's , it explains in more detail the problems I had pretty much out of the box. Hope you don't have them. I still like the mini bike but brand new and having the problems I did was not cool.

    The 12hp deuce came with a comex transaxle. Wich are impossible to find parts for. The 18hp Super Deuce came with the Dana H12, wich when you look inside both of them at how big the gears are, the Dana is at least 50% stronger. However, I built both of mine using what I had at the time wich was the comex. So far so good even running 18hp. That's all I would dare run. Will need to upgrade to the Dana when it comes time for more HP!

    The red one has portal boxes on the otherwise stock rear axle??! If so, that is awesome. I’d love to find out more about them. Great way to get lift and increase ground clearance, all while reducing stress on the gearbox and CVT belt with lower gearing. 👍

  • @thedeucemana4989

    @thedeucemana4989

    5 жыл бұрын

    Yes, RED has a 6" lift. Portals are 1.25:1 reduction. It's #50H chain (6500lb tensile strength) driving a 1.5" diameter stub axle. Chains run fully enclosed in "00" self leveling grease. Interesting side effect is brakes work a lot better because they have more leverage over the wheels now.

  • @dieseldemon8562

    @dieseldemon8562

    5 жыл бұрын

    thedeuceman That is an incredible feat of engineering, sir! You are absolutely correct; I didn’t think about the leverage benefitting the brakes as well, but now they act as if they are 25% larger. I bet it was a surprise! Excellent work! I love to see someone use their talent and creativity to build, rather than buy a side by side.
