She was the whole package. Beautiful Songbird 😞😭❤
Whitney was absolutely beautiful. Her voice was so pure and clear. Just beautiful.......
RIP Whitney. We will always love you.

@@alanfriesen9837 never heard of that move. But it's true, some good songs do come out of movies. Although her voice is great, I wound call the song corny.

This song was actually written by Dolly Parton for the movie “Best Little Whorehouse In Texas”. It was appropriate for that movie. I think Whitney did a beautiful job with the song, but not quite what the song was written for.

Mr. Butler, the song is so sad. You really think it's corny?
Whitney Houston was one of those once in a lifetime amazingly gifted vocalists that we're lucky to have experienced. It's such a shame that she left us so early.
Dolly Parton may have written this song, but Whitney owns it here! Dolly herself has said so in interviews.
Her pipes and vibrato were amazing!
So thats what love sounds like......
Whitney was one of the best vocalists are of our time. Hands down
Everyone has lost the ability to just watch n enjoy...they all need to record everything on thr phones
WHITNEY, PATTY, ANITA BAKER, TINA TURNER, TINA MARIE, TONI BRAXTON, MARIAH CAREY, GLADYS KNIGHT AND MANY MORE ARE LEGENDARY 💁
Some are talented, Whitney was gifted. She had a voice that would stop you in your tracks. Absolutely amazing.
Shivers, goosebumps ❤❤❤ RIP Whitney.
Hey Joey, I love that you are listening to all types of music. Seeing your reaction to Queen is what I think brings us all together as human beings. I recommend you listen to the late Christina Grimmie. She died tragically, but I think her cover of Whitney is amazing. Thanks for considering, my brother
Whitney is amazing! She is missed! Her voice is just out of this world.
Whitney Houston is one of my all time favorites, I would have killed to see her and Freddie perform together!
One word Perfection.
😢 Whitney, we miss you
Dude, Whitney was a rare rare voice.....not many can even come close.....and this was long before auto tune bullshit....

@@popland1977 yeah all those "singers" wanted to sound like Whitney so they made electronics to achieve that. Have you ever heard Britney Spears sing without auto tune? GOD she's off key....
Ah the human voice is just the best instrument
You can also tell at this point her voice was starting to majorly decline, but because she knew her range so well, she was able to adjust and adapt. She was a master at that, which is why so many didn't know there was a problem until it was too late. Bless you Whitney; we miss you!
Janis Joplin -Piece of my heart Amazing singer in the 60's, she did Rock, Soul, and Blues. Unfortunately she passed away overdosing on heroin at the age of 27 back in 1970.

God bless her! This was at the start of her voices decline ❤ God Bless Her Soul
One of the few vocalists that make me cry every performance, Whitney's voice was singular in quality, The Lord wanted Her Back!
Such a loss of true pure talent
The first time I heard Whitney sing this song...I wept. It was so beautiful, as was she. And watching this again after many years, I got chills and tears. Sure do miss the great singers of days gone by.
I’m a singer and when I was a teenager, I looked up to her and was inspired to continue singing. She is so anointed and talented. Great review friend!
Back in the Day you had to be great to be on the radio.. the music was made with real instruments and you had to be able to sing... Whitney Never sung a song the same way every time... that what made her so amazing she always gave you something different...
Ahm... It isn't about rnb, it's about Whitney, this will never happen again

The GOAT amongst female vocalists. Hands dowwwwwn. 2nd place ain't close. RIP Whitney❤
No one before nor after can match Whitney. So much talent, but so much heartache
She can do whatever she wants whenever she wants however she wants with her voice. Fucking incredible
Whitney!! 😭😭😭😭 RIP Beautiful!!! 🌷💖
Dolly Patron wrote, and would perform this song at the end of each of her television variety show. Dolly always said that Whitney brought so much love, soul, spirit to the song... Which Dolly approved Whitney's using the song for her First movies tract... "The Body Guard". Pure beauty Whitney... God's Blessings as you dance with him in a heaven👼🙏💞💞💞 .

You are literally the only react channel I love!
I dare to say with many other whitney fans . She makes whitney proud.❤🌹
Great selection, great reaction. Had me teary eyed.
I will always cry over you Whitney! Such a loss!
I get exactly what you are saying regarding not having a camera and just being in the moment. I went to see Michael Buble in concert I was filming it and taking pictures and afterwards I could hardly remember the concert. I felt like I had missed it because I was so focused on "capturing the moment" and really regret it.
Whitney new was one of a kind non one else could do it like her ever! Not now or even then! We topped out with her, music has started at ground zero again!
Great choice, love your reaction. Misty eyed over here. Love your channel!

Love your reactions your so pure Rest in beautiful peace Whitney
How did I miss this? This is my fave Whitney performance 😍 QUEEN
Just so you know for those who don't anyway, this song was written by Dolly Pardon. Both versions are quite different and yet get the same gut reaction from me.
First concert I ever saw was the great Whitney Houston summer of 1987 front row seats at red rocks in Colorado. She was amazing then and till the day she went to heaven. I so wish she was still with us what a gift from god she had and a true true performer. A great talent and a true STAR
there can be one voice like this in a thousand years!
The majority of great music ended when the 2000s started
I’m in tears 😭
When they played this song at her funeral I just about cried. So beautiful so sad. What a gift she left us.
Loved her in the movie the preachers wife. Her voice and character was angelic.
I totally agree with you about R&B. I miss the classic sounding stuff. Nothing like it. Whitney, Anita Baker, Phylis Hyman, Gladys Knight, Etc.
Love Run To You, Saving All My Love, I have Nothing, One Moment In Time, Greatest Love Of All, and Step By Step.
I can’t get through this performance without my eyes watering
Whitney's version of this song is beautiful and how it fit Bodyguard perfectly was amazing but I don't know I just grew up with this being Dolly's song.
ok...i was literally crying at the end...when they should stood for her....Wow...tears in my eyes...wow...wow...
Dolly Parton wrote this hit back in the 70's Dolly owns all rights to this song

God damn!!!!!!!
She is the only star that caused me to cry when she died. Addiction is so hard. I’m a recovering alcoholic and sober since 2005. Being a musician myself, I felt a connection to her because of our love of music and struggle with addiction. Please watch one of her last music videos called “ I Look to You”. It’s almost prophetic. A much watch!
The Voice!! WH!!!🎤
Rest In Peace Whitney And Her Daughter
Like so many celebrities, her ending was a tragic one. Her demise began the day she hooked up with Bobby Brown. RIP Whitney.

All due respect (and I agree BB was not a good influence on her) but I think Whitney's downfall started before Bobby Brown. He was merely a complication of her addiction, not the cause. She sounds great here, but she's high as a kite. I've been around enough addicts to see it. It's sad, because there will NEVER be another Whitney. In her prime, no one could touch her, as far as her singing. But she got caught in the web of celebrity and she was pulled into a Game that was way above her head. Whitney was too pure, too innocent and too trusting and I'm pretty sure she had her first hit, her first pill or her first puff before she got married. Having said that, I know she is singing in the Choir above, with Aretha, Donny Hathaway, James Cleveland, Minnie Riperton, Prince, Bowie, Teena Marie, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Sylvester, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington. All the greats, too many to mention. Nippy was a Star - she burned too bright, too fast and in the end, no matter how hard she tried, she had no more light to give. She belongs to the Heavens.

Yeah, man... people cant duplicate her.. well, that one 14 yr old on autralias got talent somehow channeled her.. but Whitney was one o the most powerful and controlled voices in music history... if not THE most.. certainly the one others are measured against

When Whitney did this performance she was pretty young and they didn't have any cell phones that's why you can see people engaged in the music because they don't have a phone to be fucking around on
Just like love, music is the universal language.
Autotune ruined R and B....no more whitneys
One of the greatest voices ever. You've got one of the best channels going! Turning out content like a madman! Check out "Sad Man's Tongue" by Volbeat. Danish hard rock band.
Always love Dolly Parton for writing this....
R&B is dead man, just ain't what it just used to be, specially from 80's 90's and early 2000's
IMHO those they grew up singing in gospel choirs develop singing voices that know how to dig into the core of your body, grip your soul and make every nerve ending in your body feel. Those are the voices you want when you want to.....feel.
How is it you never hear or see any of these videos?
PLEASE CHECK OUT Whitney Houston "I have nothing" live in 1993. It is the most glorious live performance she ever did!!!
Dolly write this and has 2 number 1 hits with this song, but she made 10 million just from royalties when Whitney sung this version. This shows how intelligent Dolly was, Elvis wanted to sing this song in the 70's but he wanted half ownership in the song that Dolly wrote and she said no thanks hound dog !! The reason she wrote the song was to tell Porter Waggoner she wanted to leave his show. Now she's worth 500 Million, Good decision, LOL.
nobody trains their voice anymore professionally. utube stars self taught. good vocal genes and proper vocal training of standards, gospel, jazz blues etc will give you a good singer. but God gives you a great singer like Whitney.
John cougar mellencamp-Hurts so good or Pink houses,Awesome. Love ya joey
A little trivia...This song was written and performed by Dolly Parton in 1973.

Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston ❤️
Listen to her in 1994 Grammys performance
I love what you said about people just watching and no cell phones. Everyone recording.. nobody in the moment. I've been to many live performances and the only one I never had a thought of taking out my phone was Eric Church. He's the country music Jesus. Please discover some of his music 😎❤🎶
Thank you.. check out her Gospel you tubes.. “In Return”.. “This Day” and a “Quiet Place” .. “Revaluation is here “ .. she brought the lord to all genres
You should check out the Josh Weathers live version. It’s totally different but it’s really emotional and beautiful.
And to think this was Whitney way out of her prime and on drugs but still better then 99% of singers today! It's crazy but for me it's kinda hard to watch this knowing how much more life she had to live and see her slowly decline in each performance till her death
Beautiful song written by Dolly Parton, a country singer.
You said music changed. You'd love eighties R&B.. It's soooo much better. Whitney Houston is a Queen.
Janis Joplin ball and chain
Im crying and shit. Her voice hurts my heart sometimes and I dont even know why.
