Alot of people were wondering so here's my take on the "secret is safe with me" thing: It's a callback to Max saying the same thing to Atom before. Atom's secret was probably him having some form of awareness, Charlie's secret is that he loves his son (something he tries to say but gets choked up with tears right before Max says that)
Getting this CD from the library, watching it religiously, trying to understand the Japanese words, mimicking all the moves, shadowboxing in the hallways, watching the video game playthroughs on KZread, it's all coming back. I wish they made another movie of this. Different cast, more bots, would've been sick.

exactly! not every movie needs to be part of a larger series with a sprawling story and giant cast. sometimes a self contained, small scale, and focused story is okay.

@@rubysgs there are some rumours that Disney + are trying to make a series out of it but the people are asking for a sequel...which will probably never happen, plus Dakota Goyo, Max's actor, looks far from a kid now so the only plausible sequel would follow him in his early pro-boxing adult life (?). Idk but I'd be happy if Disney makes a series even though they didn't spoil us with great ones recently so let's hope (:

With the Your secret’s safe with me” at 13:31 I think Max said that because Atom, despite being a robot, does show some sentience, especially with the final round with Zeus when Charlie needs to shadowbox, Max begs Charlie and when the camera swapped to Atom it looked like he nodded or when Max asked, “can you understand me?” It looked like Atom did a little nod. It’s subtle, but if you look close enough you can definitely see it happen.

9/10 Feel good entertainment with a great story I love watching Real steel whenever possible, delightful scenes especially with the kid and Hugh Jackman is awesome throughout! VFX are incredible and well polished; I'm glad it was nominated. Shawn Levy has done many projects under his belt that I have absolutely loved or even just consider a guilty pleasure which is nice too. I like the cuteness in many parts, definitely one of the better robot movies made in last couple decades!
Shawn Levy is amazing He did this movie, FREE GUY, and now is set to direct DEADPOOL 3
Drink every time Seb says “WE HUNGRY” in all of his videos
YEESSSSSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO REACTS TO THIS. This has been one of my favourite movies for years, too bad there was never a sequel
I think the "Secret" at the end is in reference to him talking to Atom near when they first found him. It was poetic in a way, after all, his father was mostly cold and distant... almost.....Robotic???? And now that he's shown he actually cares and feels more human, his secret's safe with him, no words needed.
For those who are curious. Disney now has the rights from Dreamworks for Real Steel. And there will be a Disney+ show soon about Rea Steel.
I hope other reactors also follow up with their own for this movie, cuz it's literally gold when it came out

NICE one, sire! One of those better-than-it-has-any-right-to-be gems, that's for sure.
When this came out everyone (including me) mocked this as Rock’Em Sock’Em Robots… But then I found out it was based on the story by Richard Matheson. That dude had SSOOOOOO much range!
I like seeing this concept in real life. It'll probably be more similar to the car world having tuff gear heads and nerds as people who would like this type of stuff. Also imagine the financial risk in competing in this sport. Spending tens of thousands of dollars on a robot only to see it be destroyed
I loved this movie so much!! I really hope they make a sequel to this someday
Since this movie is shot in South Eastern michigan, I would assume "The Zoo" was filmed at the Detroit Zoo. At the time the zoo was in the process of remodeling several of the exhibits including the tiger, the penguin, and the polar bears. It looks most like the tiger exhibit IMO.

This is one of my favorite movies. The fights, the characters and the development of them, especially Charlie, who was the one who got the most. Something curious. The robots were actually made for some scenes to add more realism to scenes. The Atom that gets up in the table when its turned on for the first time is a real model, not effects.
I loved this movie. I found out about it, while it was being made. The courthouse scene in the beginning, where Charlie was going to sign over his parental rights, was filmed in the county courthouse in Mason Michigan. My friends and I used to play around in the stairwell they shot that scene.
Crazy to think that Real Steel was set in 2020. Like that was 'The Futute' back then. So crazy to think it is now 3 years past that
I love this movie, honestly a very underrated film in my opinion. As for Zeus winning at the end, it makes sense tbh, Zeus was dominating the entire fight and knocked down Atom like 10 times, while Atom only won the last round and knocked Zeus down once. So even though we all wanted Atom to win, Zeus clearly won that fight lol even if he was about to lose in the final round.
