She has an amazing catalog and so many of her songs can make you cry. “Be Careful”, “Making Pies”, and “Mary” are all superb…. ❤️🎶

I’m so glad you’ve reacted to some Patty Griffin! Love love love how you spoke about Patty’s tenderness when she sings. She’s a great storyteller. Funnily enough, I discovered Patty through Kelly Clarkson, and I was just watching your newest Kelly video haha. Kelly has a gorgeous cover of this song and several other Patty songs. She’s sang Patty’s praises many times over the years, through singing her songs and just citing her as a huge influence on her during interviews, concerts, and such. Patty has become a favorite songwriter and singer of mine ever since hearing Kelly’s version of this song, and also “Up to the Mountain”. I recommend listening to Patty’s original and Kelly’s cover from “Idol Gives Back (I think?)” as well. It’s a gorgeous song about the work and struggles of MLK Jr.
