I saw in an interview Billie Eilish and Finneas saying their dressing room was next to Ryan Gosling's and they heard him before the show doing all of his vocal warm-ups, taking it very seriously and committing 100%.

I remember when this song won at the Critic's Choice Awards and someone commented "You can see the moment it hits Ryan Gosling that he might possibly have to sing this song at the Oscars."

He planned the entire thing and it is based on Marilyn Monroe doing "Diamonds Are a Girls Best Friend" from "Gentlemen Prefer Blonds" and not Madonna. I think he deliberately adds the vibrato for the dreaming section.

This performance is considered by many as the single best moment of the entire Oscars. And I cannot say I disagree.

Oppenheimer may have won the awards, but Barbie and Ken won the hearts.

That vibrato is definitely intentional. He does it a lot on his album Dead Man's Bones

Ncutie flew in from London on Thursday, he and Simu talk later about Ryan giving all 4 of them, including Kingsley and Scott Evans, a hug and thanking them for coming and the both said, "is he kidding being on stage at the Oscars with him." Ncutie is very precise about how nice Gosling actually is.

Billie Eillish's James Bond theme song was great

I love this. Ryan and all the dancers did a great job. The song and arrangement were really good. I just thought Slash was wasted here. One of the greatest guitarists in history and they gave him three seconds. For a song about liking guy things, hearing Slash play is pretty far up there.

I love Ryan. However, I truly believe he will regret this role, especially this performance. It was a stupid movie with terrible music, and very talented actresses and actors looked like they were taking their first role in Hollywood for this awful movie and finally getting a paycheck and possibly being seen. No one would have established a career if this was their first impression of the Hollywood elite. This is an embarrassment to how much talent he really has. This was a horrible joke and terribly detrimental to the real singing and dancing abilities that he showed in La La Land. Everything about this 'movie' was awful and embarrassing to everyone. It was just stupid. Whoever created this terrible script should never be allowed to create another one again. What would the next one be? Chutes and Ladders? This entire movie was a trainwreck, and I hope it won't destroy very successful careers.

Yeah, what a stupid movie to be apart of..... Earned 1, 446 Billion USD at the Box office 8 Academy Award nominations, including one for Ryan Gosling himself, as well as for the song he sings Surely it will destroy a lot of careers... .

Clearly, you don't like it.😂 "Barbie" is actually a much deeper movie than even I initially thought upon first viewing. In fact, I plan to go back and watch it again due to all the subtleties and "layers" in the messages I know I missed. I love Ryan, and his performance was amazing. We don't have to all like the same things in this world, and that's ok.. but I disagree that Ryan or anyone else involved in this picture will ever regret it. In fact, I hope Greta and Mark get together with Ryan to make a movie exclusively about Ken. That would be a blast, but maybe not for you.🤭
