The movie Was great

A few things to note for the Monsterverse going forward: 1. The red-haired ape's official name is Suko. Not sure why they didn't include it in the movie itself, but that's the name he's been given by the director and his crew. 2. Kong's arc has wrapped up here. According to Wingard, the director of both GvK and GxK, he's done with Kong's story for now. He intends the next movie to focus more on Godzilla and giving him the same treatment he gave Kong in the last two movies, meaning fleshing out his character more and expanding on his lore. 3. This comes from the book, but apparently Kong thought he and Godzilla were cool after GvK, but Godzilla, not so much. And also, it's said that both Godzilla and Kong sensed a common bond between each other and Mothra after her interference.

@@jfjvmdvbdcndkj It's funny that you see Kong on Skull Island, and he's not that much bigger than the trees, and you see him in this, and he's literally stepping on them while Suko is still having to work his way through them. I also love the fact that Kong has actually aged during the series, it's been like 70-80 years since he was on SI, and he's clearly in that silver gorilla stage.

He actually is KING Kong now. And when Godzilla blasted his atomic breath up into the sky at the end, he was unfreezing what part of Rio De Janeiro that Shimo had already frozen. I love how once Shimo was free, she looked at Godzilla almost like asking permission to freeze Scar King and he commanded her to do it. I love how Godzilla understood what needed to happen so clearly. Just run interference on Shimo for Kong and let Kong have Scar King. If there's going to be a sizable ape population, Godzilla knows Kong is the one who needs to rule. And to do that most effectively, he needed to be the one to kill Scar King and establish his dominance over him in a dramatic way. I love this movie. Just pure badass fun with gorgeous visuals. Sure it's not Minus One but there's room for both flavors. And once Shimo was freed she was actually adorable. Just look at that face she makes watching Godzilla's magenta atomic breath light up the sky..

At the end. Godzilla wasn't showing up. He was stopping the ice that Shimo fired from turning the whole world into another ice age.

Fun fact: Tiamat(the dragon snake titan in the artic) and Scylla(the giant squid crab titan that Godzilla founght in the beginning of the film) had appeared before in the prequel comics of the movies called Godzilla Dominion (a prequel comic to Godzilla vs Kong) and Godzilla X Kong the Hunted(the prequel comic to This movie).

Skar King is such a sick villain. His first confrontation with Kong is so good. He's actually a bit smaller than Kong but he is not scared of him at all. He straight up points and laughs at him in his face

It’s not that godzilla is a good guy and he’s protecting us. He just wakes up whenever he senses a threat on his territory (Earth) just like any normal animal. He doesn’t go after humans because we’re basically insignificant to him, he doesn’t see them as a threat to his territory. If humans ever did become a threat to him he would take them out no hesitation (as you saw when he was powering up)

That's not true, he's not just "a normal animal." Godzilla, like Kong, is a Sapient being (as you wouldn't be able to reason with an animal attacking you, like Mothra was able to with Godzilla). Godzilla just _really_ hates The Apes. And, if you look closely at how Godzilla handles himself, he's been slowly getting more and more annoyed with Humanity.

@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim i never said he’s a normal animal, i said he’s like one. as in he does things that normal animals would do. like protect their territory, fight off other “animals” that he senses as a threat on his territory, etc. And yea godzilla does get annoyed at humans but he never feels it’s a necessity to outright eliminate all of us (well not yet). because we don’t threaten him. It’s like humans with mosquitoes, we only really kill them when they land on us but we don’t make it a mission to kill every mosquito we see on sight.

A good example of this is when kong went up to earth to call on godzilla for help. He was trying to show godzilla that he wasn’t there to fight him but all godzilla saw and heard was another threat to his territory. he needed jia to telepathically tell him that they needed his help.

The reason kongs gauntlet is conveniently the arm he has frostbite on is because kong is right handed. He put his dominant hand closest to the blade of the ax to stop shimos blast and the ice caught his arm

Shimo the Ice Titan is female and she's the reason King Ghidorah was frozen in Kimg Of the Monsters.

When it comes to scale, especially hollow earth because its a place that exclusively houses titans and mega fauna, we are seeing everything through kongs perspective, like how a fly sees us as slow yet we dont see ourselves that way

Kong and Suko = Kratos and Atreus. Godzilla and Mothra = perfect couple for each other

Watched this in the theaters, when godzilla busted out with his new form I had the biggest grin on my face

29:30 if you look closely not only his energy capacity changed but also his physical structure as he has lost body fat on the abdomen he has sharper dorsal plates, scaler skin on the face and neck, has skinner legs now, longer arms including spikes on his elbows and has large spikes at the end of his tail that can be used as a deadly weapon

This movie was an adrenaline rush from start to the end. It's stupid fun & had a blast watching it in the theaters

As a monster fan. Searched up sebscreen, first thing I saw was he reacting to this

kong was definitely one of the best charater this movie and godzilla was just kicking ass for power

The next movie has been given the go ahead. The writer of Shang-Chi has been hired to write it. Wingard is probably going to return, but it isn't confirmed yet. Wingard has said the next movie will be more focused on Godzilla. I love that Gia can communicate with Kong( Sign Language) and Godzilla thru Mothra (Telepathy). I love the up close inspection that Godzilla gives Gia.

GXK did so well that they're already a new one!! I'm already hyped. I'm guessing 2027. I know this is going to be a Godzilla centered story instead of Kong this time, and the plot is going to be heavily influenced by Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, so I don't know if Destoroyah is going to be the next villain, but I hope not because he should be saved for last. Spacegodzilla makes a lot more sense right now due to him being teased for years now, and it'll work, and that's who I want to see right now. The writer for GXK 3 wrote Shang-Chi, co-wrote Across the Spider-Verse, and co-wrote Godzilla (2014), so I don't know if this will be a serious sequel or be goofy still. I hope it takes itself more seriously, but the goofiness can stay. I won't have a problem with that at all. Adam needs to come back.

This movie was quite different than the last Godzilla vs Kong. What stood out to me the most was the non dialogue scenes when the Titans where all you have to do is read the body language with the titans. Kong scenes fighting Scar King in Hollow Earch was such a stand out scene. No human dialogue just straight monster scene. The movie creatures need to do more expanded scenes like this. It was the best parts of the movie.

I love how you can pretty much understand what the Titans and the apes are saying even though there's no actual dialogue.

(At 22:44) That Skar with a "K" by the way. Like The Incredible Hulk's son.

I think this movie is a major step up from Godzilla vs Kong. My only complaints are the hollow earth mammals having green blood, Tiamat not having more screen time, not getting to hear the telepathy, and the random gauntlet that Kong gets. However, I’m glad we got to see new kaiju and drones being used to fight Godzilla instead of stealth fighters.

Tbh, I’m not even into the Godzilla and Kong movies but when I saw this in theaters, my mind really turned over. And with that I couldn’t wait any longer to see Seb’s reaction.

I’m so proud of the fact that this film was shot only a couple of hours drive away from my own home. I’ve lived in Far North Queensland for 10 years and instantly recognised the Daintree Rainforest when I saw it in the film for Hollow Earth

Fun Fact: When Kong was sharing his kill with Suko in the novelization, Kong actually said "I'm a God Boi!".

I don't know a lot about Godzilla, King Kong, or kaijus in general, but this movie has sucked me into the fandom. I'm probably going to get figures of both Mothra and Shimo. And now I'm praying for a spotlight Shimo adventure, whether that be a series or a movie where she does something good for the planet, like stop global warming or something. I don't know why she's just adorable to me. I'd give her a headpat if I could.
