Y’all missed the part where the ex best friend’s father was running for some sort of office, and his campaign was being funded by douchey ex boyfriend’s father. They spent the summer together because their families’ spent the summer together, I think the implication there is she was also pressured to be with him by the situation.

I do have to say, Rizzo's comments when he sees a girl treated badly in movies and shows... it's comforting. As someone who has been mistreated, it's nice to see a guy say it's not right. Thank you, Rizzo. Benji, you never fail to make me laugh. You guys are amazing.

This movie is ambitious for a teen movie imo, because as you watch it you realize that Drea and Eleanor are a little worse than you thought and that some other characters are a little better. It plays on the characters' POV and biases to recontextualize the film and I think that was cool.

The movie also had like pretty good dialoging and lines that have the potential for being iconic like "We're teenage girls, we're *psychopaths* " "The way to know when you've the top, is when someone wants to *destroy you* " And that one guy at the end that yelled "don't let the patriarchy hit you on ths way out"

I think the reason this one resonated because of how impulsive and kinda two faced each character is. I'd say out of all, the main girlies seems more likable by proxy

The moment she started telling the story in the car I knew exactly where that plot was going n who the real villain was

I do love that this movie is a little more wild and over the top with everything from clothing (eventhough those uniforms are straight out of every kdrama), to the characters and just the storyline, it at least kind of brings back the feel of 90s and 2000s movies. Still definitely not a masterpiece but it’s definitely one of the better Netflix products in a longgggg while, also Sophie going „I don’t do cocaine. I don’t even know what it looks like“ is definitely my favourite line Also some of the lines and fashion choices were not it, it was obvious that the producers were trying a bit too hard to make it relatable and liked by genz

You guys should definitely watch the cult classic dark comedy Jawbreaker (1999) it’s Heathers meets Clueless and heavily inspired Mean Girls

I guess the deal with everyone else in Max's circle, when they first supported him when he cheating came out and then finally dumping him at the end of the movie, it was a case of them thinking 'support him and he'll keep us in the circle' and then realising at the end when they saw that video they realised 'it doesn't matter how loyal we are to him, he'll drop us for no reason soon as he doesn't have a use for us"
