Lindsay Lohan really gave her heart and soul into this performance and she’s really good! I’m not surprised but somehow it escapes a lot of people.

Iconic Moment: Rizzo: “Jambo!” Benji: “HELL NO!” I loved it 😂

In college my 3 friends and I went as the Mean Girls on Halloween. I was Cady, but went less 99¢ zombie bride and more a mix of an actually rotting zombie and pretty glammed up bride. I did all my friends’ makeup too. Our other friend went as Regina’s mom, stuffed animal dog pinned to her boob and everything. Wish I could post a picture of it one here! Still my favorite group costume to date.

little story time: an english teacher played this movie for us to analyze right, but he had to change it in the end because in the same class there were 3 girls who would called THEM selves *the blondies* so you can guess everyone was making fun of them because of the movie.

Neither of those movies did well, they're underground classics, but actually hit some hard hitting topics or taboos in some way. This movie is a blockbuster about cattiness. It may be iconic, but I wouldn't put it in the same categories.

I work in mental health and in grad school, when were learning about diagnosing, one of our assignments was to pick a character and diagnose them based on the criteria from the DSM. We had to show how they met the specific diagnosis with clips. Someone picked Regina George and diagnosed her with histrionic personality disorder and I've never been able to look at her the same lol!! So every time you pointed about her behaviors, I just kept thinking yes...yes!!! Love that you both love this movie and also great edit!!

Halloween a couple years ago, I put a onesie on my toddler that said “I am a mouse, duh!” With ears and a pink tutu 😆

Also fun fact and something I didn’t know until couple years ago, Rachel McAdams was doing press for dr strange 1 and did a look back on your career interview and she said that her hair in this movie is wig which shocked me! I genuinely thought it was her actual hair and now that I know I can totally see it and can’t Unsee it. But honestly that is some good wig work! And it’s also crazy that she was 26! I think Tina fey said once that the cast went to karaoke and Rachel’s choices were closer to Tina and Amy’s music choices vs Lindsey and Amanda.

I can relate to the both of you. When I was younger, I memorized the whole script and song of this movie that I once mute the TV while watching it, and I was the only one talking as the characters.

The line my parents liked best is 'she was supposed to be grounded but he let her out' bc every single time they will tell the story of how little me went to my friend's house when she was grounded and asked why i couldn't play at her house if she wasn't allowed to leave....literally just did not understand the concept of being grounded and her mum called my parents about it and they found it hilarious

So I did take a sip of water for every quote, and I have finished a full liter of water. Most hydrated I’ve ever been lol

I didn’t have enough alcohol to do a shot every time you quoted the movie (and I also didn’t want to die) so I just quoted it along with you. And your dad has great taste Rizzo, oh my god Danny Devito I love your work, is my favorite line too. Maybe tied with “someone wrote in that book that I’m lying about being a virgin cause I use super jumbo tampons, but I can’t help it if I’ve got a heavy flow and a wide set vagina.” With principal Duvall’s look of utter defeat and “yeah I can’t do this.” Also the scene where she walks in when they’re watching the scary movie was pure gold. I always think of Mean Girls on my nephew’s birthday: October 3rd 😊 I’m in my 30s but I caught Mean Girls on tv around 2010ish. I was so used to Rachel McAdams in serious movies, so it was cool to see her in a comedy. I thought she was great in Game Night, too.

One time in my ecology lecture we were going over genetics and what not and our teacher mentioned that in iceland its so small there, they developed an an app that let's you know if you are related to someone by bumping phones. Their tagline is literally "Bump the app before your bump in bed." So I quoted Karen's "you have your cousins, then you have your first cousins..." and my friend just stared at me blankly 😅 she had no idea what I was talking about and looked at me like I had a second head.

22:33 I think its because when were younger, we don't really have a grasp on who bad it really is. They know it's considered bad, but they probably wouldn't see it as any more than skanky or skeevy at worse. When we become adults rewatching this looks a whole lot worse. Hell, Principal Duvall looked like he was gonna beat his to death with that bat on sight.

This movie is so insanely true to life, even if parts are somewhat exaggerated to come across on film. (My favorite line is probably “but you LOVE Ladysmith Black Mambazo!”, because I do)
