By removing parts you're already ahead of a lot of shops and people on social media who claim to wrap cars. This is coming from someone who works at a wrap shop in Chicago. Well done.

I can see why now… it was the most difficult part! It definitely made the end result look a LOT better though!! CANT beat free in a situation doing it yourself and still being happy with the results 😅 I’ve seen nightmare jobs done by shops as well.

Whatever works for you. We strive for quality, long lasting work. Bumpers, trim, mirrors, handles, headlights, tail lights, lips, diffusers, sometimes even wheels. Anything that can compromise the longevity of the wrap must come off. I can take all that stuff off without wasting time.

this turned out so well! for anyone more new to cars, you can take a Ziploc baggie and tape the bolts, nuts and screws to their respective parts so you don't lose anything in the process.

Wow, looks amazing, I was on the edge of my seat with that roof stretch! I'm a female who also likes to tinker around with my car and take panels off & on. You're right, when those clips sink home it's so satisfying 😁

I have so much respect for you! You did soooo well! How you did the antenna is just brilliant. I've been thinking about going to try and learn about wrapping because I was about to buy a black car and I wanted to make it Orange. Did my research and I know now that it is quite costly. Maybe I'll do part of my husband's car to try and get a feel for it. Then maybe do the whole car. He has an XC60 in grey but we both love it in red. Blue might also be an option. Seeing you do sooo well the first time gives me hope. The colour you picked is super pretty and not crazy pink, magenta is gorgeous.

I have the ‘22 civic hatch and I’m considering wrapping it myself just because I love being hands on. I’m most nervous about taking things apart but this made me feel so much better. I might start with some pinstripe details before I do a full wrap just to get a feel for it. Thanks for sharing 🩷

Nice job on the wrap but also taking it apart and putting it back together. Love the detail you provide. I plan on trying this on my car but it should be easier than your car cause mine is much older and no round corners. Plus, I have chrome bumpers so that will be easier. Congrats on your first wrap.

Great job I am very impressed with how much detail you put into this project.

Nice! I remember wrapping parts of my civic and it was a pain and I’ve done decals for a while. I remember stretching parts to make them fit and figured when I walked out after work on a hot day that it all would shrink back to 3/4 the size 😂

14:38 Those 10th gen civic side skirts are actually really easy to take off if you know the trick. Remove all the screws/clips holding the front, back, and bottom of the rocker, then take a mallet or other soft hammer and hit the rocker towards the front of the car. The rocker will slide off of the normally inaccessible clips and fall off, and you can remove the clips left in the car by turning them 45°. Put the clips back on the rocker, and when you are ready to put it back on, it goes on straight on with a couple good smacks where the clips are. It helps to have a second person for installation to lessen the risk of you scratching either the front or back on the door bottoms.

Agree, Its almost completely chrome deleted as is, finish up that little bit of chrome with gloss black and it will look great. Excellent work!

Great job and color pick. It looks like the Porsche color Ruby Star Neo. I was never into reds but since I bought my '08 MX-5 in True Red a few years ago its grown on me. If that wasn't such a great color I'd do that car. I'm thinking about having my 2020 white Corolla SE done.

Delete new rods lifters the heads were done Tule Springs BTR stage 2 LS3 cam water pump everything every alternator condenser radiator starter got x-pipe dual exhaust Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers Texas Speed headers every once in awhile when I start it and put it into reverse or drive it wants to stall out sometimes it does also did the timing chain would you have any idea what it could be I had it Dyno tune twice I would really like your input on the problem

That's awesome, wraps are the one thing i've never done. Just not sure the time investment will ever be worth it lol. Also, I don't know if I can fully get behind a pink civic, hahaha. But it does look super well done and it suits the car better than I expected. the 10th gens just look so good in any colour honestly. What do you think of the looks on the new generation civic?

I agree that the design of the civicX has a 'Hot Wheels' feel with the larger graphics. It makes any color work! Since this is a darker purple Pink, I have gotten SO many compliments on it! I do not prefer the new generation over the tenth.

Did you go over any rock chips? I was contemplating on wrapping my wifes car but I think the paint has to be perfect without any rock chips etc right? Silly question, do you have to use special products to maintain a wrap? Any idea how long that will last without fading in that intense AZ sun?

I would use a filler and sand it down smooth. Use different grits so you get it as smooth as possible. That’s what I did for my husbands car

Im looking to just do trim to an Ice cream truck at the top I going to buy a design that looks like Ice cream spill. Looks like the vinyl would be easy to cut around a design. If not please let me know. Or if I can buy it like that from somewhere already in that design?

Its hard to wrap white cars, bcs any wrong trim...depend how bad it is, the whole piece sometimes need to be replaced! Btw...you guys did a great job! the car came out nice!

Install took me about a week, but I was working on other things too in the process. Could easily get it done in 3 days. Wraps typically last for 2 years. If it's garage kept and protected, then it can last much longer.

Wow Kayla that looks great. You did a great job. I have been thinking about wrapping my Crown Vic. But I have been hesitant lol. She is a big girl with a big rear. She doesn't have as much things to take off like your Civic but enough. The door handles are riveted on so I'd have to cut to it somehow. Great job tho.

you did a good job the other trick you could of done on the roof was center the wrap on the roof you wouldn't had to stretch it as much as you did on one side.

2.5 Weeks of work into one short Video. The wrap is inspired from the Porsche Color RubyStone Red which I have always loved. I am thinking of adding Green accents next so it's like a watermelon...what do you think?
