Hey SoFloSteve! You were right that the audio isn’t loud enough on the X-Terra pro. I feel that the pin point isn’t centered on the coil. It seems like it’s somewhere between the center and heel of the coil. Mine chatters and falses in the transition sand and in the water. Maybe I have the sensitivity too high at 20. I can’t see any difference between Beach modes yet. It’s not as intuitive as I thought it would be. White’s has spoiled me. Lol GL&HH! Keep swinging Jay

Hi bobkurmis5347! I wouldn’t say that I’ve gone to the darkside. It’s more like dipping a toe in. 😆 I saw a good deal and got the X-Terra for an alternate secondary machine (the TreasurePro is my true secondary machine). So far the X-Terra is doing alright. It’s not as stable as the MX7 or the TreasurePro. It chatters and falses a lot. Especially in the transition sand and in the surf. The pinpoint isn’t as accurate as the White’s machines. The pinpoint doesn’t seem to be centered with the coil. It’s a bit about midway to the heel of the coil and it’s center. At least the one that I have feels that way. I’ll make a post about it sometime after I figure it out. Lol Thanks for watching! GL&HH! Jay

You definitely got a screaming deal on that machine. Can't pass that up. When Whites went under I picked up a next to new Apex. I have to say I really love this machine. Simple to use, light weight etc etc. I still take my MX7 out and The Treasure Pro. There is just something about those two machine that I love. The pinpoint feature is so accurate, I like the large screen and numbers. And yes I still use your baggie trick over the screen. That was genius! Take care my friend. Bob@@Gaptains_vloG

@@bobk3304 I thought about getting an APEX. I detected behind one and the MX7 picked up targets it didn’t detect. That detectorist had a tight grid. I’m probably doing the same with the X-Terra. I really need to read the manual. I’m probably not using it properly. Lol

Put a translation option on the videos, if possible, it will make it easier for those who don't know English. Here in Brazil they are selling a lot of Xterra Pro

I thought Beach mode 1was for Dry Sand and Beach mode two was for wet Sand

Hi tonylynch8092! You are correct. Beach mode 1 is for dry and wet sand while beach mode 2 is for surf. I switch between modes so I can see any differences since I’m learning the machine. Thanks for watching! GL&HH! Jay

Hi robert-tt2vo I use the White’s Electronics large hexscoop. The shaft is a shovel handle that I cut seven inches off the top. It’s nice since the wood floats for when I use it for sifting fossilized shark teeth.
