Vicente is my childhood. Wow, I can't listen to it without wanting to sing at the top of my lungs. Great singer and may he rest in peace 🙏🏼

Vincente was one of the last greatest Mexican singers. He sang with passion. He could make you cry just with his songs. His son sings too and now his grandson. The suits are traditional a mixture of Spaniard influence. Oh he would carry a gun and he would drink tequila on stage. ☺️ definitely try to react to more of his songs.

Volver Volver = Return Return The man wants to return to his love, in spite of it being a long time since they were together.

Congrats on listening to a legend. Vicente is like no other.

in regard to your comment on the language: volver means “to return” or “to go back” the most powerful part of the song is the end of his sort of belting where he says “yo se perder, yo se perder, quiero volver.” it means “i know (to lose), i know (to lose), i want to return, to return” it’s incredible use of words especially in spanish. this sad feeling of loss and that desire we all feel to go back to better times. this is one of my favorite spanish language songs of all time.

Charros are the original cowboys! Cowboys are a more modern version of the Original Mexican charro! Charros were nobble rich caddle man back in colonial mexico! They whore boots for the thick mudd, and high ankles could protect from snakebites, heels go in the horse strap to control the horse and as a foot rest, coats because nights are cold when in the mountains herding cows, the hat is like a helmet if you fall off the horse the big round edge from the hat protects you since it hits first instead of your head and breaks the fall, also for the sun, youre out all day in the hot mexican sun and serves as shadow, and also as a fan for air to blow air for the fireplace! The gun? You need a gun in the wild when herding cows in the mountains lol
