At the very beginning of the second skit, there was a clue about all of the “styles” in the scene behind him. Ryan’s last name is Stiles. Most of Colin’s spot-on timings comes from the audience reactions, I think.

Pretty sure Brad and Ryan both thought Collin instantly knew after the "poorly timed bald joke" reaction because of how insane the audience went so they really didn't give him any hints until the end.

There's a game you haven't seen yet called "Superheroes," in which they're each given a superhero name by one of the others, and have to act it out. Earlier in that first episode, Colin had become "Captain Hair."

Yeah, “Newsflash” and “Press Conference” are where Colin really gets to shine because it’s just him using his mind to figure stuff out

The "whole group of people" thing was a reference to a game they did earlier in the episode, where Ryan thought that Kid Rock was a group/band instead of just the one guy

Thanks for clearing that up. It's been so long since I've seen some of the episodes that I forget some of the references. "Tapioca" has to be the most famous but "the great country of Africa" is up there for my favorite references. "Meow!" is also a top 5.

Didnt see this, posted the same xD woops There was this great channel a while back 12Medbe, who compiled hourlong compilations, often around themes. Since Whose Line usually filmed many many takes and cut them into several episodes, running gags sometimes got split over several airings. Yup, kid rock was one, Africa being a Continent not Country, and a couple standout ones

@@jp3813 Okay I concede that it wasn't maybe a running gag. It did get mentioned about 3 or 4 times though.

When I saw this as it first aired I was at a friend's house. I actually laughed so hard I pooped my pants a little. I had to wear his underwear after I cleaned up. Also, when I saw Colin and Brad Sherwood perform the Two Man Group live - another version of Who's Line - in a packed theater, at the end of the show I stood up and yelled "Colin, walk like a dinosaur". He did. It remains one of the most proud moments of my life.

​@eolsunder when I saw them, I actually stole one of the mouse traps off the stage on my way out (I was in the front row and one was really close to the edge). I still have it. Smashed my finger on it too.

The Colin newsflash is easily the best one! I love it so much!

Ryan’s “i thought it was a group of people” was when he learned about Kid Rock in an earlier scene. They ran with that blooper for a bit after that xD

When the first bit aired it was and is the hardest i have ever laughed. I couldn't breathe and almost passed out.

@@nitrokid well, that and his nose came up a few times, but it was more common to make fun of his shoes. Like making fun of Colin’s shirts was mentioned a couple times.

There was a spin off based on this game called "Drew Carey's Green Screen" they acted out all their scenes in front of the green screen and they added backgrounds and effects in after the fact. Didn't last long but interesting idea.

i always run when it’s a whose line reaction! if you don’t mind doing longer videos, you should react to an entire episode at a time. they’re only about 22 minutes long and a lot of the running gags will make sense and be funnier.

Hi Britt, I continue to love the reactions. Here is a funny one to do if you haven't done it (non Whose Line is it anyway). Tim Conway, on an episode of the Carol Burnett show, does a scene as the dentist. So funny and it is one of the most popular scenes from the show.

I was privileged enough to watch this show when the episodes first aired, and it was frequently the highlight of my night.

Oh, the beauty!

I remember watching this show when it came out and I also happened to be lucky enough to see Colin in real life about 20 years ago on the streets of Huntsville Muskoka, Ontario.

Ive watched that show for over 25 yrs now & it never gets old!! 😂😅❤❤

the Newsflash with the rollercoaster is so funny because of the audience! They made it too easy, lol. Also fun fact, the producers would give Ryan the most difficult/absurd characters to act out for games like Party Quirks, Dating Game, etc. because they wanted to see if he could pull it off and he always did. (Like the clip of him being "born" out of Colin is from Party Quirks...he's a foal that's just being born, or something like that....because his are so crazy, he's usually the last one to get figured out in that game)

I just got to see Collin and Brad live in Bristol, TN. My wife even said to me after the show that was one of the best things we have ever done together. It was amazing!!!

You asked if Colin was always the guy in front of the green screen. The answer is, most of the time. Ryan did a couple, and Drew himself did one at the end of one of the episodes, but other than that, it was always Colin because he was just so good at that role.

Two clues for the first one, and Colin still got it.

Not sure if you know, but 'Chip' is Charles Esten, who is also an actor (was a lead in the series Nashville) and a Country singer

Gabriel Iglesias is funny as, well, he's hysterical. You have reacted to him before but ones I'd recommend are Gift Basket part 3, Fluffy Goes to India, and one where he pranks Trevor Noah. You should watch the bit Trevor does first before watching that last one.

Ryan was in Drew's other show, sitcom called Drew Carey Show as Drew's friend, Lewis. Drew's sitcom is loosely based on Drew's life in Cleveland, Ohio (Drew's hometown).

Many of the Who's Line games are always given to the same regulars.

9 times out of 10, Colin figures it out. Check out the Best of Wholes Line - Newsflash Edition compilation. they have videos where its 10 in a row. He gets it nearly every time.

Colin is most always Infront of the green screen as he is the best at figuring it out when they tried having Ryan there it didn't work as well

Colin actually bombed the first time he was on the original British version of Whose Line. When they moved it to the US, Ryan convinced them to give him another chance as they were long time friends, and he knew he would knock it out of the park if given another shot. Those two, along with Wayne on the song adlibs, are what made the show what it was.

Wayne is also good with the physical comedy - he does lots of good mime-like activity. Riding a motorcycle, walking through a door, etc - but with the sound effects.

He turned the video off too soon. Always allow videos of comedians to go all the way before you turn them off.

There was a better green screen skit, but you uh, definitely can’t show it on youtube. Lol
