Daylight's bridge is always a huge fan favorite because it makes reference to a couple different things: the album and song Red, where she firsts describe the general feeling of love as "burning red," and now she says in Daylight "I once believed love would be burning red, but it's golden" (she also referred to love being "golden like starlight" all the way back in the original Red prologue in 2012, so its such a lovely full circle in that way, too). She also references the color/aesthetic of the Reputation album being black and white in "I once believed love would be black and white, but it's golden."

It's also suspected black & white is used to ref MH. The 1975 is known for using b&w ascetic for albums & their music videos are b&w. Many suspect this is why TTPD has the b&w ascetic as well. She uses black & white to describe him in one song on TTPD as well. Idk, I'm just sharing info already discussed & out there lol.

That line in The Black Dog always made me think of Clean; "Ten months sober, I must admit, just because you're clean don't mean you don't miss it."

I'm a little confused. he watched Daylight and he'd never heard it before right? isn't that what you want, a reaction to something he's never seen? are you saying it's good that he skipped the live version of The Man because he'd already heard the song? I guess idk why he skipped it though, since the live version is obviously slightly different than a studio version. I think I'm missing something. 😅 maybe I'm just tired...

Daylight is my favorite song off Lover…. You need to hear the studio version…. when I first heard the song I had been having a really difficult several years and felt very alone. I realized when I heard it, I hadn’t felt like I had seen daylight in a loonnnngggg time. It hit hard. I am living in daylight again now and can appreciate this song even more.

Does anyone else think that Luke will freak out when he hears "You Are In Love" after seeing that amazing performance on the 1989 tour? (yeah, you'll find out that it's kind of impossible to pick just one favorite 😂)

You should react to Taylor’s speech from when she received the billboard woman of the decade award. She is amazing and this speech is everything! Even if you don’t react to it here please go watch it and your admiration for her will grow by leaps and bounds!

I spent so long disliking the album "Lover" and then years after it came out I decided to give it another shot and it stayed on repeat for weeks and weeks, there's something about it, she painted such a beautiful dreamscape, the album takes you somewhere so special. "False God", "Daylight", "The Archer" and of course "Cruel Summer" are some of my most favorite songs in the world 🥲💕

Have you listened to her Tiny Desk performance? It's an acoustic performance with a very small audience. (Although a HUGE audience for Tiny Desk)

I think I saw somewhere that Taylor said her favorite lyric she’s written is in the song Lover: “Ladies and gentlemen will you please stand, *with every guitar string scar on my hand*, I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover.” Of course, she’s come out with Midnights, Folklore, Evermore and TTPD since then so this might not be true anymore but thinking of the scars she has from playing all her beautiful music and basically pledging her love on her scars is so poetic to me 🩷🫶🩷

I'm glad you did this!!! You should react next to the Lover performance at the MTV Music Awards, the London Boy BBC performance (another song from Lover album), False God performance at SNL (another Lover song) and the 1989 Listening Session at the Grammy Museum but the complete version (about an hour and she performs several 1989 songs acoustically and explains the story behind them). Loveeee your reactions and from Mexico here btw, love that you lover our food! You should definitely come visit and eat authentic Mexican food (highly recommend Mexico City, Oaxaca and Merida/Yucatan for best food) 💖

Lover is a magical album

Lover was actually the album that started my Swiftdom era! I played this album so much it was she was my top artist on Spotify.

I've actually been keepong track of all the songs you've reacted to XD: - As of this video, you've reacted at least once and full to a total of 82 album versions of Taylor songs. You gotta check out her SNL performance of lover. It’s on piano and it’s amazing how different it is. It’s one of her best performances in my opinion. There’s also a version with shawn mendes which is pretty cool too.

I saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow on the big screen when it came out! I was OBSESSED with Jude Law at that stage and had seen Giovanni Ribisi in a gorgeous movie with Cate Blanchette a few years earlier called Heaven, so I was interested in seeing him too. And Angelina Jolie with an eye patch on the movie poster looking bad as all heck really drew me in too. I still love that movie! I love that 30s sci-fi Orwellian and Film Noir vibe and Dark City with Rufus Sewell is also still one of my favourite movies of around that time too 😊
