Shania was so popular at this time that she put out the same full album twice. "Up" was her fourth album released on November 19, 2002, a Red & Green CD was put out to her large crossover fan base. One was full Country & the other was POP/Rockish, same 19 songs with different sounds. This video was from the POP/Rockish version. She's a huge talent!!

I remember the pop version was the one released in Europe first for some reason. I had to wait to get the country version, which I think is better.

The first song I heard from her back in January of 1995 on the radio was “who’s bed have your boots been under” from her second album, which hit number 11 on the billboard country chart. She was actually born Eileen Regina Edwards. And changed her name to Shania, which is said to come from a Ojibwa word meaning something like “here she comes” “she’s on her way” or something similar. Twain was the last name of her step-father, who was full-blooded Ojibwa Native American I believe. Anyway there is a little trivia for you.

Britt I'd suggest doing a reaction to interviews of Shania. When you see her interact with various interviewers & talk-show hosts I think you'll even appreciate her even more!

Shania (born Eileen) grew up in Canada. She got Lyme disease and suffered from such debilitating insecurities and stage fright that she stopped performing for over 15 years. This, after her husband, MEGA Producer Mutt Lang left her for her best friend. So she married her best friend's husband. Lol. She continued writing songs all during that down time. She has just in the last year, re-emerged and is performing again!

Her version of this song live in Miami is phenomenal. Nuff said !

I think Britt is beautiful beyond belief.

I remember seeing this - some awards show. Vince Gill joked because her figure was so fabulous (this was soon after her son’s birth) and he had had a yoyo time with his own weight. She’s amazing and Vince is a sweetheart!

I have always appreciate her voice along with her looks.

I love watching you fan-girl out over Shania. You're not wrong - most of us would like to be her, at the age she was in her heyday. I got serious thrills when I first saw and heard the video for "Man, I Feel Like A Woman" because of her awesome voice, stunning beauty, and cheeky snap-back at Robert Palmer's sexy-sexist "Addicted To Love". (I loved him too, if you haven't you should check it out.) Plus, she's Canadian, and I'm always proud of true Canadian talent.

Her life wasn't always glamours, growing up she put her dreams aside and took care of her younger siblings. She didn't ever think she would make it to big stage with Record tables . She was happy to be a hack up singer for Allison Krause; witch is awesome singer you should check her out

The album this came from had so many great songs. My particular favorite is ka ching, She never looked more beautiful, and the song is incredibly powerful and meaningful in today’s society

I can understand why you want to be Shania, but you are a beauty in your own right--like, as gorgeous as she is. And from my estimation, the man who put the big rock on your finger also thinks so.

After Shania's mom and step dad died she raised her little sister and two half brothers. She married Mutt Lang and had a son. The Mutt the jerk cheated on her with her best friend and they divorced. She started spending time with the ex besties ex husband and the two of then fell in love and got married. She actually lost her l9ve of singing and her voice too. But it was her little sister and new husband that gave it back. She was still kinda struggling when she did the video and remake of Endless Love with Lionel Richie
