Shuhua's shyness towards her own singing is more because of her pronunciation than her vocal talent. Early in her career k-netizens really bullied her about her hangul pronunciation which made her want to sing less. She slowly gained back her confidence and it looks like it's no longer an issue.

The "Lion" performance you asked about, is the last stage of Queendom. Soyeon actually wrote the song for that competition show, and the stage is absolutely worth it, as well as the other Queendom performances. Those were huge stages!

The title tracks may be cool, but the real I-dle gems?? Are their B-sides! Literally! 😭 I think you should do Album reactions, before doing live Performances... and for those there's a few MUSTS... like their cover of BTS's Fake Love, and all the Queendom stages, plus MAMA Awards.. 😅

okay so full disclosure, dingo's killing voice absolutely tunes the voices of all their guests after the performance so though the performance is 'live' it's also touched up in post. HOWEVER, gidle genuinely are amazing live vocalists and performers, and i think where this skill truly shines is during their university festival sets! truly, just search up 'gidle university performance' and you'll find many from 2019 onward (though i think their festival performances from 2023 are the best). it's so fun seeing gidle's impact through the audiences' reactions! and yes! gidle has one of the most interesting and diverse discographies. hope you check out more

Despite Miyeon never rapping her "rap" in my bag in performances, it is her and she can do it. It's a bit odd but it's part of the lyric meaning. But if you really want to hear Miyeon and Shuhua rap, you should listen to Wife.

The live performance for "Lion" from queendom is very good and there is more to it than in the MV... but... also from queendom is the performance of "Put it straight" (nighmare). . To date, I find that performance is the most amazing one that (G)I-dle has ever done. It still brings me to tears every time. Even if you can't do a reaction for it, you should at least see it on your own. It's truly amazing. A very good reaction would be to react to the original lyric video first then to react to the queendom live re-make. Both versions of "Put it straight" go right to your soul.

7:04 You’re right about the trilogy. 한（一）/Hann (Alone), the hanja “一” technically means “one”, also metaphor for “being alone”. 한（寒） / Hann (Alone in Winter), 寒 means cold. 화（火花）: Hwaa is the Hangul prononciation of both hanja characters of 火(fire) and 花(flower). So there’s a pun that is very artistically used in the lyrics.

"Hann (Alone)", "Hann (Alone in WInter)" and "Hwaa" tell the story of the singer's break-up, depth of sorrow, and their recovery from depression. And yeah, "Hann (Alone in WInter)" is an amazing track on it's own. I-DLE added "Pop/Stars" to their performances during their first world tour, coupled with "The Baddest". Miyeon and Soyeon ARE Ari and Akali. The live performance of "Lion" from Queendom, made me Neverland. We rarely see you smile in these reactions, so it's great to watch you discover and enjoy the depth of their discography. =)

They have some of the most amazing live stages of all the groups I follow. Absolute must-watches in my personal opinion are probably LION, Latata and Put it Straight from their run at Queendom and Tomboy from MMA 2022. Even if you decide not to react to them on here I highly recommend checking them out since you'd be missing out on one of the greatest aspects of them as a group :D

They'd just released a Live clip for 'FATE' a few days ago.

They all have so unique voices and this killing voice really shows that they are all quite good singers. Only thing that always throws me off is Soyeon's rap in HWAA being about one third too high compared to the album version. But it also shows that this is really live and not some fake.

yeah the song you heard that you didn't know was hann alone in winter ! it's a fan favorite in our fandom and you read the hangul correctly ! it translates to "don't stop me" but idle translated it as "never stop me" for the official english title

17:24 yeah the original Lion performance on Queendom. The song was actually written for the Queendom Finale, which means that was the debut stage of Lion. A masterpiece, extremely powerful. Totally necessary to check it out.

Definitely react to My Bag, unfortunately no music video but the dance practice and live performances are amazing! And they all rap in Wife too and take it to another level there😊 You may also like to see them recording the songs in the studio in the “recording behind” videos they release. Soyeon is amazing and knows exactly what she wants the song to sound like and the strengths of each member and how to get the best performance out of them. It’s very interesting to see the process. She is truly an incredible and unique talent and should own her own record label one day. Also if you like live vocals I hope you get into XG because they have some incredible vocalists and some live covers of songs. Chisa singing Nobody Love is iconic. Nmixx also has more like Lily and Haewon did a cover of Survivor by Destiny’s Child. Aespa is also very talented vocally, and all the groups I mentioned are my favorite to watch recording in the studio. Especially Lily it’s crazy how good she is.

All the Queendom stages are sort of must see (which includes Lion, which was created for Queendom, which was a competition show the competed in). You should also react to Put It Straight (Nightmare Version) which is one of their best B-sides & was a re-arrangement of a song they had on their first or second mini album (also done for Queendom). The Performance Video version of Put It Straight (Nightmare Version) is also amazing (& is kind of jump scary). Also, Soyeon, Miyeon, & Yugi all have solo vids & songs.
