It was Soojin who befriended Shuhua before literally anyone else did in Korea. Even though Shuhua couldn't speak Korean and Soojin didn't understand her either. But even so, Soojin always listened to her. Showed her around Seoul. Helped her learn the language and supported her the entire time they were trainees. 8.Soojin posted a picture of her with one of Shuhua's dogs just two to three weeks ago on her Instagram One of the interpretations of the end/beginning of the video that I found is that Shuhua is plotting out how the revenge is going to go down. After the explosion, it fades away and pulls out to Shuhua across the street looking at the hotel. There's also the scene where everyone is disoriented and Yuqi looks scared then time stops and Shuhua appears like she's analyzing what could go wrong. Minnie is an arsonist, always playing with matches, Miyeon is a cop who arrested Minnie and brought her into this scheme and Soyeon is in charge of cleaning up the evidence (like collecting Minnie's matchstick off the stairs). Admittedly, I don't know what character Yuqi is supposed to be. Then, at the end of the video, the headline says that one person died and one person was injured in the fire, so they convinced people that the attacker died accidentally, and Shuhua takes off the bandages to show she was never actually injured. She got her revenge and got away with it I don't think the person is even half right, it seems to me that from the first batch (the events before and after the explosion kind of overlap) the girls start cleaning up the evidence behind them, e.g. Minnie's matches (arson/explosion), Miyeon's pen (the pen mark from the wound Miyeon inflicted)

Wife is such a brilliant song. Many have already written about the topic of the song, but what is often overlooked is that Soyeon is often criticized for her English pronunciation. What is she doing? She sings “I clean your loom” with full intention. Later, Yuqi sings “Coco Roco” just as intentionally. Furthermore, it is often criticized that IDLE has no rap line, there is only Soyeon. What are they doing? Right, everyone raps! You just have to love them.

I’ve noticed a lot of people believe that the 6th person is in reference to soojin but if you think about it, shuhua plays two roles in this, the detective and the victim, so having 6 ppl in that shot makes sense.

"Wife" has no subtitles and the girls don't lipsync because a traditional wife should be silent. She has no voice. I made a video explaining the song on my channel if you want to check it out.

I think I would add that I'm pretty sure they wanted English speaking listeners to mishear some of the lyrics - especially with the way they are saying some of it. If you then add that the Korean innuendos wouldn't translate properly, I feel there are many reasons they chose not to have subtitles.

@@Jneedstostopobssessing If not for the fact that they don't lipsync in the video and that subtitles still have not been added then I would agree with you. I also think that at least 50% of the "innuendo" is simply perceived as opposed to intended... which is fine with Soyeon as she tends to prefer to write in such a way as to allow people to find their own meaning in her music. This makes the song personal to the listener.

@babette5918 maybe I'm being slow, but I don't get your point. I think they haven't added subs because adding them will stop people mishearing them. The innuendos are definitely there - you know how KBS acted because of them. One of the problems with translations is that phrases or words with double-meanings often get lost in translation. I totally see the argument for it being about not having a voice, though I think that not subtitling the part they do lip sync does weaken that interpretation for me. Not saying it is wrong, just personally doesn't feel as convincing. One of the things I love about the group is that they layer so many things into their songs and MVs that everyone can take something different from their music.

Yes. Since the start, i hear 'i clean your loo, it's so twinkle twinkle, want me to wipe your/the shit', and i think it's on purpose 😉 It's clearly more logical lyrics than the ones we can read in all lyrics videos. (and the fact they look their shoes each time they say the word 'shit')

Wife lyrics have two layers: It's like a satire on what is expected from a typical "traditional" wife. You corectly catched that one. It's also full of word plays and innuendos (the song was banned from broadcasting because of its “Sexually Provocative Lyrics” :D)

You missed Fate from this comeback. It's the number one song in Korea at the moment. The B side from their newest album went to number one on every Korean chart without any real promotion. They released a live clip of it afterwards without Shuhua, who was one sick leave.

Wife hasnt got any lyrics because cube didnt had ballz to put them on cause of their meaning

Regarding Super Lady's budget, people tend to be pissed towards Cube because the girls paid more than the half of the production with their own money, Cube paying the rest. Can't disagree about them being pissed, since it's the role of the company to pay for this, but we know Cube isn't really aware of what they have to do. Most of the time, they will react after the fans are pissed, and not before.

For "Revenge", there is a very good video by "Bookish Theories" called "Is (G)I-DLE’s 'Revenge' really about SOOJIN? MV + CASE FILE (G) Explained". This video explains the MV both with and without being about Soojin.

Revenge has a big reference to Soojin 🫣

Fun fact: Minnie was supposed to be the one to do the intro in Super Lady, but she couldn't hit the note properly without having to take a break in between, so Soyeon had it instead then Minnie got one of her rap parts.

You should definitely react to Fate from G-Idle. It's the number one song in Korea surpassing all the songs in the album even if it had no promotion. It's also my favorite from the album.

Miyeon is Hera because she is sitting above all ruling the one's belove.Snakes are the spiritual animals of Hera,her representation. Soyeon is Persephone.She is riding a Scorpion(Hades's spiritual and representive anime),then she is on a giant Statue of Zeus(as she is Zeus's daughter) and also she is wearing the helmet of hades commonly known as the helmet of death.

For Revenge, to understand the plot, I recommend you watch Case File (G)

to understand the revenge music video, the channel Bookish Theories explains it really well! i strongly recommend watching their analysis. bottom line this video is a story told from the pov of detective shuhua who's trying to uncover a murder case and puts herself 'in the scenario' to understand the events that took place. however once she learns about the a b u s e , she becomes a co-conspirator and helps cover up the murder and the apartment residents who helped with it. the implied storyline is that this is an allegory for the way soojin's career with idle was 'killed,' and the girls are seeking revenge. the main supporting evidence for this theory is that on the case file, soojin's birthday is listed.

Pretty sure no subtitles on wife was deliberate lol
