If i may disagree. Adagio for strings is beautiful in its portrayal of human emotion, but not what most would consider beautiful. It can be described in many incredible ways. To me and others, it is emotional perfection. It's been called many things. The saddest cords ever heard. The sound of wars braking hearts. We effortlessly hear the sorrow, the fleeting grasp for hope, and the utter knowledge there is none. The feeling of being beaten and then beaten again. I know an old blues guitarist who suggested to me how to really listen to music. You might listen like most and be aware of music flowing past you like a river. To really appreciate the emotions being conveyed, try to listen to the progression of notes as they are being played. Be immediately current with the music. Feel the emotion of the very next note and let your heart follow. You would be hard-pressed to find music that you can feel more deep in your soul than this. I really like your channel.

That's because music today is (though sometimes pretty damn good) not an experience. This is musical emotion. Every player in this orchestra feels their part. It's almost the same as to when you hear musicians playing music because they genuinely love music vs those who industrialized it. This is raw emotion played by men and women with raw emotion.

oh god be prepared to cry harder than you've ever cried. I love to listen to this when I'm already depressed so that I can wallow in my sadness in style for hours and hours listening to this and Interstellar by Hanz Zimmer

@@AwesomeFilmsifyDon't have to be "neurodivergent" to be depresses or feel something listening to music, for fux' sake. Ridiculous overdiagnosing of everyone to be "on-tha-spektrum!!!". Grow the fuck up. Life can be hard. Suck it up. Be a grown-up. The world will not slow down because you want to sit and curl up and have a cry. Good Lord, how did everyone get so fukkin' weak?!

This genius piece of music is also used in the death scene in The Elephant Man directed by David Lynch. I feel it's better than the use of the piece in Platoon. The use of Barbers Adagio in the death scene at the end of the Elephant Man is nothing less than cinematic genius. It will shake you to the core and stay with you for a very long time.
