I lived in the hood for years. People in the hood always say "you can't come to the hood with that", "if you do that in the hood, you won't make it out alive", "we don't play that in the hood." Jason is saying the same thing about small towns in Fly Over country.

Exactly! He saying same thing project Pat raps about North Memphis in that song "If ya Aint From My Hood Better Git from Round Here". Most of those riots that occurred in 2020 were from outside paid professional protestors and agitators coming in. They tried for 10 days to turn the peaceful protests violent in Memphis, but nothing popped off.

I've been a big Jason Aldean fan for many years now. I absolutely love this song and what it stands for. The best thing that I've seen in my opinion from this song is that it's actually brought white and black people closer together to say ya doesn't matter where you're from with sick of this BS. Most of the African Americans that I've seen do reaction videos to this song absolutely love it and stand by what the messages. From what I've seen it looks like it's my crazy ass white people that have an issue with this. Would love to know people's input if they think that the song is helping people together or if it's just a complete racist song.

@@steveanderson6810 I love the song. I got tired of ducking and dodging when the drive-bys happened so I moved to a smaller town outside of San Francisco. I'm happy that I can walk to the store in peace and don't have to fall to the floor at the sound of gun sh0ts. It's really rough in the Bay Area.

I agree with you, I'm from Detroit. This generation is wild not saying things didn't happen in my Era. My Era my hood we handle it. Now this Era everybody turns their head and pulls out cell phones to post for likes. I see nothing wrong with this video. Wish I could sit on my or chill in my car. I am in a small town. There is a vacant house across the street from me and the owners are out of town. Guy pulls up and starts checking to see if door is open. Three neighbors ( me included) were there in 2 minutes to ask him why he was there. He RAN to his car and took off. Sometimes that's all it takes.

I'm old enough to remember when we did do that! My heart breaks that my children and grands will probably never know that! My children did for awhile growing up, when we moved to the small town I live in now. But sadly in my small town neighborhood most of our original homeowners have died and their children have either sold the homes or rent them out. People constantly moving in and out of here and nobody knows anybody 😢 I have an 97yr old neighbor I look out for and have known for50 yrs. The son of one neighbor my kids grew up with, another young man(48)my youngest went to school with and and older gentleman next door that moved in about 5 years ago. That's all the neighbors That are friendly and I know now. My son's want to keep the house when I die, because it is a great area, but they are building homes and businesses all around us now.
You are so spot on. I grew up in a small town. I loved it. I moved to Charlotte for several years. I was an EMT. I moved to the country to a small town when I retired! It's just what you and he says. I never go near any big towns. No one has become hateful in my town. We know eachother and take care of eachother. I love it.
Its about community, its about love and "MEN" standing up to protect what is most important, family, community, friends. its pro community and family, being protected by real masculine MEN. The patriotism and community unity is exactly what they dont want, and this is why they dont like it 🙏🏽

One of the only reactions that pointed out the farmer "you need help you'll get it." One of the strongest emotional parts of this song.
That young man that took out the guy coming in to rob that convenience store had just gotten out of the military (don't remember if he was a Marine or a soldier) so he was trained to risk his life to protect. Pretty sure he wouldn't have been able to accept not doing something. He saw an opportunity and his training kicked in.

Best thing you said in this whole video... "treat people how you want to be treated, until they lose that privilege." That's how everyone should live. This song is talking about the sense of community/family. While we can agree to disagree on many things, some things just should be standard like basic respect for life. I, personally, like the song. Charlie Daniels had a song quite a few years ago called “Simple Man” . Had the same feel to this song: “Now I'm the kinda man wouldn't harm a mouse But if I catch somebody breakin' in my house I got twelve-gauge shotgun waitin' on the other side So don't go pushin' me against my will I don't want to have to fight you but I dern sure will If you don't want trouble then you'd better just pass me on by” Should listen to the whole song, it more than applies to our country today.
"If the whole world was like a small town. There'd be no problem " couldn't be more true
I appreciate your reaction, and your opinion brother. One of the most honest and well thought out reactions I've seen. It's a warning in my opinion, but I'm from the small town life. We don't want to have to go down that road, but know that we will always stand up for the community we live in as well as others.
I was born in a small town… we played outside til the lights went on… parents never worried… neighbors watched out for each other… driving from my dads house to my aunts (which was miles away in the country) everyone waved to each other. Everyone looked out for each other. Thinking about moving back home.

Everyone waves, we watch out for each other's children when they're outside and if there is an emergency/tragedy the community bans together to help. Ill never live in urban environment ever again. There are literally more guns than people in my town but we have absolutely NO violent crime and ONE cop on duty at a time.
it's not harsh. Don't do that in someone else's town. Don't touch anything and behave yourself, because that's the message. We're there for each other, that's the message, I think

People helping people and watching out for each other. There is nothing racist about this song. Like these heifers on the View, (CNN) Crapy News Network, and these politicians. It's all about ratings and votes. Money, Power, and Greed. Sad but true. People need to stop talking at each other and start talking to each other like we used too. I enjoyed watching you talk today. Thanks...Ron
Nothing wrong with the song. We need this anthem in urban cities. I'm tired of all the time! Grandmothers can't sit on porches and our kids can't play outside. I support this message!
By canceling him, you made his voice stronger. Great review bro. ❤ You are not wrong in what you say sir, as a veteran, we cannot protect from outside threats if we are not united as 1. This is why I love you Ray. You have an open mind and can see all sides. I dont see anything racist about this video at all. I live in a small town and I see where he is coming from. We watch out for our neighbors and help them anytime they need something. We love our community and will protect if need be. I can also see what you are saying about where you grew up. We need more compassion and understanding in this world.

Jason was on stage during the mandlin Bay attack in Los Vegas when a gunman opened fire on the crowd from the hotel room. He's seen homegrown terrorists acts 1st hand. This song is about community. "Don't act a fool in a small town " rob a liquor store, cuss a cop, sucker punch, burn the flag. That's stuff you don't do in small towns that feel like community and look out for each other and your neighbors.
Oh my gosh! U make me cry and laugh at the same time. Im a social worker who grew up on 2000 acres, and now live in the suburbs, but work in york city. @@Wickedtruth307 They had organized a caravan and designated small town locations that they would march through on social media. They would be traveling through the Midwest on Interstate 44 and would target a small town in Missouri. The town sheriff and the community armed themselves and gathered at the town entrance off the highway across from a commuter parking area they were gonna use to park their vehicles. When they started to arrive, some got out and seen the town folk gathered at the begining of the town's main street entrance. They promptly got back in their vehicles and drove away on down the highway. This is a true story because I joined my best friend who's sister owned a business in that town and went there to support them people. Nevertheless, it was an amazing experience to see folks, along with their local authority, join together to protect their community from any violence and destruction that these anarchists were going to unleash. And afterwards, the town folk celebrated with free barbecue and beer. Message to these anarchists, whatever they call themselves, DON'T TRY THAT IN A SMALL TOWN 🇺🇸

Their you go, figure it out for yourself should be all our mindsets. Love from Georgia. Blessings. Just wanted to add I think this is more of a PSA. He says don’t do violence. Those news clips bring back the heartache I felt watching people destroy things and people in their own communities who had nothing to do with anything. I remember crying along with the shopkeepers standing in front of what was once their lives.

You are spot on, I grew up in Chicago, moved to a small town in Alabama, I couldn't get by with the stuff I would do in Chicago, in the town I'm in now, and I wouldn't change it at all, LOVE My small town.

Wow, thank you!
Next you need to listen to his " Dirt Road Anthem ". It about young men growing up in small town and doing what young men do on a weekend. He does a little country rap in it.

Hell yea ❤
For me those who have a problem with this song and or the video have one thing in common that being this song message and video speaks nothing but the truth yet it's being scrutinized by those who don't want messages like this out there trying to bring us together because they want us to remain separated by any means necessary
Born and raised in Brooklyn, but had to leave. Living more country and our neighbors look out for each other. Got his message very clear.
United we stand . Divided we fall.
I understand what you’re saying about it being a business decision. But what they’re doing is shooting him straight up the charts. This song came out in May, and most people never even heard it until they made their business decision. BTW, I love your reactions and insightfulness.❤❤❤
You are right man, if the who world were like this it would be a much better place. And yes....everyone should have the attitude dont start none wont be none. GREETINGS FROM SMALL TOWN TEXAS! have a blessed day! From a new subscriber.
The most forthright reaction I’ve seen on this video. Loved what you said. Cheers from Alaska, Be Safe, Peace Out.
F*ck around and find out is EXACTLY what the message is and you hit the nail perfectly on the head with this reaction!! Like you said it’s not promoting violence it’s deterring violence by saying loud and proud that in a small town if someone does cross that line we ain’t got NO problem handling things!! DONT START NO SH*T WONT BE NO SH*T!!!❤🫡💪🙌🫶🇺🇸
I found this video fiery, but mostly peaceful. CMT did not take it down voluntarily they were pressured by the woke mob just like every other big company, media outlets, or whatever all about that virtue signal, fake outrage and ESG score. They basically took down a song, their primary audience who actually still watches videos on TV would actually enjoy, watching for people who don’t watch and have never watched their channel. Sad but that’s the world we live in think the point is during the “summer of love” people were on the streets during “Covid” destroying cities businesses in peoples lives, basically. And it wasn’t because they were hungry or trying to feed if their families. They were doing it all in the name of social justice even know half of them didn’t know what was really going on. I just took it as an opportunity to steal and fuck shit up. And the sad thing is it was perpetuated by the mainstream media, and the SJW’s’s on social media, with lies and manipulation and edited truths. They pushed hate and division. But notice. These riots were not in small town America. It was all in the larger lib cities with relaxed laws and hardly hold people accountable for their actions. Antifa , BLM and SWJ’s didn’t try that shit in small towns across America. This is promoting peace through strength and unity. And that’s how we all should be.

First time I've ever listened through at 40 minute reaction video...I loved your candid response! Also living in a small town, people who never have will not ever understand! We don't want all of the bullshit here! Love each other, help each other, support each other - and I don't give a damn if you're purple! THAT is the way it should be all over the world.
Great song. Speaks truth. Listen to the lyrics. Seek the truth and the truth will set u free.

Never heard it said better! Well done! Jason is an amazing person and performer! People don't take time to know one another anymore, to much bull shit, and fake and lies, and what we're being told to do, their trying to separate us so we can be controlled, when did we start taking that crap, we're supposed to be one Nation Under God!!! It doesn't matter what you look like it's how you treat people, how long are we going to let this shit show grow!!!!❤️🤍💙
This song is #1 on the charts
He said small town. He is not trying to hurt people. And sorry the world is sensitive!😊
I knew this was going to be a 🔥 reaction when I saw it was 39 minutes. Thank you for being true and honest brother.❤❤❤❤❤
Our country has changed! I miss us so much! This was heartfelt!!!
Born and raised in a small town. Thank you so much Sir. God Bless You ❤
Loving your reaction comments. Want to point out one thing- the part about his gun he got from his granddad is not a warning he'll use it if necessary (though he very well might). He's talking about attempts to take away our 2nd Amendment rights, like "Chicago can put all the restrictions on guns it wants, but try forcing those laws on a small town." He's not promoting violence, just the right to protect life and property.

And an add on… He’s also saying that the current government trying to take our guns and we could very well have to use our constitutional rights to fight back against it.

@@Vrtlancer21 And also that they can put anti-2A laws in place like in Chicago, NYC, Baltimore, New Orleans (like they did after Katrina) but not in small town.
This song and video are O.G. badass in every way.
