First Time Inside Hindu Temple In India Bangalore 🇮🇳

Foreigner explores one of the oldest Hindu temples in Bangalore city in India, Sri Someshwara Swami. Built by the Chola's who used to rule the region of South India and Karnataka over a thousand years ago. Since the Islamic invasions coming in from the north many Hindu temples and shrines have been destroyed but in the south many survived and are still standing as a testament to the rich Indian history and culture.

You should definitely visit Hampi, Belur and Halebidu. They have some of the most spectacular temples in Karnataka. The intricacy of the carvings and artisanship will leave you mesmerised and if your'e conscious and at ease with yourself, you'll find that you're engulfed with the energy of the temple diety.

you have a really deep understanding about indian history and demography change , our biggest and oldest temples were destroyed during that period even taj mahal was built by demolishing a shiva temple.they did not even leave one of the worlds oldest university which was nalanda built back in 6th century BCE, its library has so many great books and it is believed the library was so grand that it kept burning for months.

Mr Rover, you got one more subscriber because you spoke the truth about Islamic invasion and destruction of 40 - 50 thousand temples. I request you to visit Hampi just to see the Islamic loot and destruction, but still the temple premise looks beautiful even if it's destroyed. That's the power of Hindu temples.

4:16 around hindu temples you will see all kinds of animals. Goats , cows, monkeys , sparrows , dogs. Some temples have fish ponds ,some have alligators & turtles in them. For the most part - most devotees are chilled out about having to share their space of worship with animals. Sanatana Dharma ❤️🙏

Just to add on.. it is perfectly great.. infact wonderful... to say 'JAI SHRI RAM' in a Shiva Temple. 🙂. Similarly, it is perfectly fine to say 'OM NAMAH SHIVAY' in a Rama Temple. Ultimately 'Shiva' and 'Vishnu' are meanings. Both are not two different gods, but 'one and the same God' understood in two different ways. 🙂🙏💐

9:29 that is a very nice parallel that there are both muslim and hindu boys together playing outside a temple in contrast to what you were discussing about the islamic conquest in india and them destroying temples and all...... Mr. Rover, thanks for the video. With your help I too had the Lord's darshan(view) of Someshwara. I had the darshan of the Nandhi (the Holy Bull)in front of the main deity, Someshwara. And by the by, your views on the moghals invasion on India and other parts of the world were exactly true. Actually, since they made their headway into India from the north, the destroyed almost 90%of the beautiful and historical Hindu temples, there. Not only Hindu temples, but even the Jain temples, which would have umpteen no of beautiful and awesome sculptures, were destroyed by the islamic invaders. Even now, you can see some of the mosques in North India, built on the remains of Hindu temples. They had also destroyed the famous Nalanda University, the oldest of the seat of knowledge and education, situated in Bihar, was also destroyed by them. It was said that the moghals arson the University library, which had innumerable and centuries old palm leaf manuscripts and books, took which around 3 to 4 months to completely burn down. If at all you happened to visit Hampi, your eyes will bleed. Such was the destruction of the holy city, that the once famous Vijaya nagara Empire, where so many beautiful temples with breathtaking sculptures etc.were destroyed, disfigured. In the port town of Hampi, during the reign of the king Krishna Devaraya, businessmen from all over the world used to open their shops in and around the temples, where, all the natural stones like diamonds, rubies etc.etc. were found to be sold in heaps. Even today, you can see the shopping arcades where once people thronged to by them. Today, even the govt has banned people from strolling around there for long time suspecting they might make holes in the ground and search for anything left, after some one really found something.

Shree is honorific Prefix for name, is used for showing respect. it is added before name of any Man, and for Lady Shrimati (for married) or Su-Shree (for unmarried) is used. Literally Shree means Goddess Lakshmi (consort of Lord Vishnu), Goddess of Wealth(s) (Materialistic wealth is one type of Wealth ). and Ji is general suffix for showing respect (for both lady and gentleman ) ex. Shree Pedro Ji, you are a very Charming and lovable person.
