Woah... Was not expecting that... Girl's got some serious pipes! Awesome!

Her backstory is a demonstration of the indomitable will and spirit of the human soul. She had 8 siblings of which none survived her mothers abuse. She was picked up at about 3 years old half dressed outside in Russian cold with a broken collar bone I think. Her other family members took her but did not want her because she could not talk. An angel put here by God was a physical therapist and saw her in the Russian orphanage where she worked at and adopted her. She put her in singing lessons to help her develop her speech. The rest is history. Diana is an amazing girl and deserves the best life possible. She is humble and so loved by all her fans. One of the Judges in this show you watched is one of the top music people in Russia and arranged for her to attand the best musical conservatory in Moscow and gave her family an apartment to use during her training. He gets credit too, Igor Krutoy. God blessed Diana with a better life and in so doing blessed all of us music fans.

When I first heard about her childhood, it really did not make me think that she may have been singing to her birth mother here. Since I did finally think of that, HOLY CATS that is SO messed up! This young woman deserves every comfort that life could offer her! Unimaginable to be born to a family life like that! At least she did get to grow up at all and she got to have a real Angel of a Mother (that wonderful lady needs to be awarded a medal and more)! Now that Diana has a platform and can communicate VERY well in multiple languages, the world hears and FEELS her pain. Thankfully, that is not all that she is about. She does some FUN stuff, too! Her cover of Havana is one of my favorites because she had fun while making it! She is AMAZING all the way around. She can be funny and witty and smart. Always a pleasure. Such a wonderful soul, bless her!

People often feel physical effects when Diana is singing. She's known as the Queen of Goosebumps. She was 15 during this performance. Diana's background: Diana was born on May 31, 2003 in the Far East of Russia. She was severely abused as a small child and abandoned on the street by her birth mother in winter when she was only 3 years old with a broken collarbone. She was then taken to an orphanage where, after more than one year, she was adopted by Irina Ponik, a massage therapist. At the age of four and a half, Diana still could not speak properly. She also stuttered. Experts recommended that she take singing lessons to improve her general speaking and vocal skills. I think that two songs go particularly well with you and your channel --> "Crow" and "Havana" --> see below. You will also have fun with "Jodel Time". There is a new TV show in Russia. There are 9 weeks with 9 shows and 9 well known artists. Diana is the youngest artist. They had to sing songs from 9 genres. The last TV show was on 20. November 2021. It's impossible to over hype Diana. I've seen thousands of reactions and no one has EVER said "Meh, that really didn't cut it."

She would be known as a coloratura contralto in opera, meaning her range is a bridge between a male and female voice. Voices like hers are very rare. I believe that as she matures, she will become world class.

You're right. The lyrics of this song, and some others that Diana performs, are not indicative of what might be considered "touching" in a mental health sort of way. On the other hand, the trials and tribulations that she's endured throughout her young life directly affect how she interprets and performs music. The mere fact that she is where she is today speaks to her ability to overcome the horrendously difficult situations that life has thrown at her (not to mention the stress she must have from becoming popular at such a young age). Diana Ankudinova is one of a kind. Many have tried to figure out what she does and how she does it, but her talent is a many-faceted gem, and we're better off, I think, just enjoying the gift of her genius. Diana is called a "shaman". When they try to figure out whether she is an angel or a demon, it does not work.
