A classic song for all Viet-Nam Veterans, most of them break in tears when their hear that song, others just want to get drunk to forget the shadows of the past that haunt them since their first tour of duty, but all of them will never forget that song which has become a synonym of war and destruction. Peace to all Viet Veterans, on either side!
I'm 66 years old and this song has been around almost all my life, I've never heard anybody call this a happy song or a fun song or dance to it like if it was your birthday like Diane was dancing.. I'm glad she enjoyed it and it is a very cool song.

On a sad note: It was released in May 1966 first as a 45-rpm single. A friend who was to be KIA in Vietnam, in Mar. '67, liked it on the juke box of our local diner in late '66. He left a fiance to mourn. Sorry to be the downer. It was a funeral, but it was Vietnam as well.

I saw those guys live at Soldier Field in Chicago on the Voodoo Lounge tour when I was in college in 94. I wanted to see them live before Keith Richards died. He's still alive.
Old geezer here... this was a staple for my garage band days. All things Stones were de rigueur in high school.

@@DianeJennings I'd recommend for the best experience with the Stones, listen to these entire albums all in a row: "Beggar's Banquet," "Let it Bleed," "Sticky Fingers," and "Exile on Main St." They are four of the greatest rock albums ever created, and they were all released, one after another. "Let it Bleed" is a personal favorite, and I think the best Stones album, but that's definitely arguable. The kind of rock music made in the mid-60's to late-70's was really meant to be listened to as an entire album. Of course, singles were released in that time as they were before then, but this really was the era of "Album-Oriented Rock," or "AOR," where the experience of taking in music was much more holistic.

Paint It Black has been used in numerous movies, TV shows and video games. Recently, you may have heard it in the series Wednesday, where Wednesday Addams plays it on a cello. The Stones have a huge catalog of songs, and you've likely heard several without paying much attention to them over the years. A particular favorite of mine is Gimme Shelter, that includes possibly the greatest performance ever by a backup singer. Merry Clayton put everything into her singing and positively steals the show from Mick Jagger. I was able to see the Rolling Stones play live twice during their most recent US tour, In Las Vegas on November 6th, 2021 and then in Detroit on November 15th, 2021. They still put on a great show.

Song Review Suggestion/Recommendation: “I’m Shipping Up To Boston” by the Dropkick Murphys… . I’m curious if you’ve ever considered doing a Video about Irish references from “Family Guy” (as I’m sure there are plenty) and, if you already have, whether you could direct my attention to the Video(s)…Much of my family and many of relatives live near Boston, Massachusetts; plus my Dad has practically the exact same Accent as Peter Griffin! This contributes to why I enjoy watching “Family Guy” so much! I’m not Irish, but I often hear that Boston is a very Irish town…What I’ve learned from having friends who were either born deaf or who had lost their hearing at very young ages is that Accents are mainly a “Hearing World” thing and it’s most likely that someone with hearing difficulties (or inabilities) will probably fail to realize when an Accent is, in fact, present…With AI/Auto-Generated Captioning having gotten so accurate at this point that it now understands Accents a lot better, AI/Auto-Captioning now moreso conceals any potential Accents & Dialects from deaf persons who are relying on the Captioning to figure out what people are saying in their Videos…The far-better AI/Auto-Generated Captioning places more emphasis on how outspoken people are (in their Videos) about where they’re from or their Accents as being any deaf person’s means of determining whether or not someone in a Video might (or might not) have an Accent…While you’re very outspoken about being Irish, lots of people are quite discrete about where they’re from; while I’m able to hear (and, therefore, would notice an Accent of a person in a Video), somebody who’s deaf would likely be left guessing and wondering where the person in the Video is from, if he/she is very discrete about where he/she is from…Otherwise, local slang words might also be another tool a deaf person could use to determine whether a possible Accent is present…Or if even the people Commenting on their LiveStreams and/or Videos point out their Accents or the person in the Video mentions their Accent…Or figure if a person is from Ireland, it’s probably safe to assume that he/she likely speaks with an Irish Accent; although, the strength of his/her Accent is left entirely up to the imagination of the deaf person(s) reading through their Closed-Captioning…Yet, people who were born deaf (and, thus, don’t even know what Speech sounds like, much less Accents) probably won’t be wondering about who might (or might not) have an Accent…In my personal experiences, it’s always been those of my friends who went deaf at young ages who have been asking me-via Text Messages-about whether or not this or that KZreadr has an Accent of any kind…Because I don’t know any Sign Language and my friends don’t speak and can’t understand speech either, I always need to communicate with friends by Text Messages all the time…My friends can’t watch your LiveStreams until they’re later saved to your Channel as regular Videos, thus (hopefully) gaining Auto-Captioning (usually, a day or two afterwards)…My friends turn on the “CC” (so they can figure out what’s being said in Videos) and they hand me the remote so I can, meanwhile, turn on the Sound and I just ignore the Captions and listen to what’s being said in Videos…
nice dance moves Diane awesome video.

Thank you! You too!
OMG I can't believe that you never heard the Rolling Stones. Thanks
Great song for a reaction, definitely one of those sound track of life songs that we didn’t know we’ve heard. I’ve been hooked on this ditty since it was used for the credits in “Devil’s Advocate”

Which is interesting, because you know, you'd think it would've been, "Sympathy for the Devil," but "Paint it Black" works well there. Underrated flick, but a terrible Keanu accent.

The best use of one of their songs for creepy nurse was in Fallen when "time is on my side" appeared throughout the film

@@MattLovesVinyl I thought the same about sympathy for the Devil, but this song DOES capture the vibe & idea of wanting to corrupt the world

Check out their song JUMPIN' JACK FLASH. ❤
Rock On, Irish Girl!! Paint It Black is one of my favorite Rolling Stones tunes! Chewie is Twerkin' while Diane does The Frug! So glad I now get to use all these awesome DJ emojis now!!!

I must say, Dan! You are absolutely using them to full affect. Actually, I think you win.
I love your dancing! Seriously, you look like you are having a good time listening to the song.
One of my favorite songs.
What a delightful young woman, and the reaction to The Rolling Stones, hearing "Paint It Black" was great. Now take the leap from late 60's Stones about 35 years to 2003 and listen to The Rolling Stones - Midnight Rambler (Live) Official, Madison Square Gardens. Brian Jones is long dead, Mick Taylor has moved on, Bill Wyman has retired, But Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts along with Darryl Jones on bass and Chuck Leavell on keyboards will leave you stunned.
This is my favorite Rolling Stones tune. I dig the more bluesy stuff. Yay! \o/.
Can’t deny the influence of the sitar & Shankar!
It's a great song! The Stones took their name from a lyric in a blues song. Very much enjoy seeing you groovin' to their music. 😊

Thanks for the info! It’s always interesting to find out how bonds get their names. It’s usually a real nothing moment and then they’re stuck with that forever.😂
This song was the intro music for the 1990s tv show tour of duty
Still loving this content!
A favorite of mine. Great song.🎼🎶👍🤭
ROCK ON!
The best of the best of the best. It just can't get any better
