That sound you couldn’t identify was Maurice on the bass. He was soooo gifted.

There are several of their songs that make me cry because of watching them suffer from tragedies. They've worked their butts off for everything. Didn't get recognition they should have.

Back in the day there were so many songs where men longed for a woman and said so-respectfully. Now? Everything is crass and crude, and it translates to how young people act. Makes me sounds old, but it’s the truth.

The explosions in the latter part of the song were made by Barry making that type of noise into a microphone. They all cracked up laughing at the weak sound. Barry did it several more times and then they layered them together. It was released using that sound effect. I don’t know if they used an actual explosion sound in later recordings but the story is great, I think. Back then there weren’t resources available as readily as they are now. No internet.

Music evokes emotions, you're so right. And they really always did so, together with first-class singing and strong lyrics. That's what you can always expect from bros. Gibb. Love your movements and sights, so you really not only heard that song. Check'em out with a song called 'Wind Of Change', live from their Spirits-tour in 1979, to find on YT.

There’s a video that shows them in the studio writing the song. They wrote the music first and they made the lyrics fit. There are a lot of Bee Gees super fans who want you to enjoy the songs the way they do. They overanalyze. Or if you give Barry all the love, what about Robin?? We didn’t do that back in the day. We heard a song and it was just fun. I love your channel.
