"I freakin' lost all my fruit and then some. Where's my wagon? I need to pick all my fruit, I've lost it! My bananas fell, everything's gone out of the basket! Oh my God." I'll bet the Bee Gee's have never ever heard that sort of review on their songs! :D

You should check out the making of Tragedy. It is super interesting to see their process, especially in the 1970s. Barry had to create the explosion sound himself by making the sound in to a mic...there was no explosion sound readily available in those days.

That is such a good video it shows the fun relationship that the brothers had when I think it was Maurice telling him to put more saliva under his tongue. All three of them just crack up laughing. It is just a pleasure watching the fun and friendship that they had.

Tragedy is from the same album as Too Much Heaven, so probably the same orchestral elements. A key feature of The Bee Gees’ 1960’s style was to be backed by orchestras for concerts.

I can only hope more young people such as yourself, listen to the Bee Gees. Their music should never, ever die. I love how happy and joyous this made you. Sorry if that sounds corny. I grew up with these guys because my father blasted their music throughout our home, his favourite is 'How can you mend a broken heart' . Robin starts off that song. I think you would also really enjoy the live (under the bridge) version of "For Whom the Bell Tolls' I think you will have a nice surprise with that one. Thanks again for giving my favourite guys a listen, it is truly appreciated!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this reaction video and your comments are hilarious but so honest and sweet at the same time. I think this is my favorite reaction video of yours so far. YES, this song is EPIC, which is why many of us suggested you listen to this studio version. There is a “making of” video of them in the studio when they were recording the track which you would enjoy. BTW, if you didn’t already know, Benny and Bjorn of ABBA who were perfectionists in the studio chose the Bee Gees Criteria Studios in Miami to record the backing track for “Voulez-Vous” (the song), so, that says a lot about how much the Bee Gees sound and production was respected. I’d love to see do a reaction video to a post-disco Bee Gees song/video called “You Win Again” which sadly was not a big hit here in the U.S. but was a big hit in the UK where it went to #1. You’ll hear and see a different side to the Bee Gees, but, just as brilliant and extremely catchy as any of their music. One last Bee Gees/ABBA connection for you, when ABBA entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010, they were inducted by Barry and Robin Gibb. Sweet! ❤️

I agree for some songs that live is better (especially the ballads) but I think that uptempo songs like Staying Alive, Tragedy are much better in the studio version to hear the multilayered vocals and full instrumentation.

Then check out "Heavy Breathing". The change to rockin' R&B came with "Wind Of Change", "Jive Talking" and "Nights On Broadway".

If you want to see a real stud walking down the street, watch Barry Gibb in "Stayin' Alive". This song was at the top of the charts at the height of the disco era (1975-1980). It was first heard in the movie "Saturday Night Fever" in the opening credits when John Travolta walks down the street in New York City.
