I’m so glad you guys have discovered the Legendary Icon Stephanie Mills!!! Home is her signature song that she sung on Broadway when she originated the role of Dorothy in The wiz on Broadway. You should definitely check out Stephanie Mills singing "Home " Live at the Apollo. This performance was definitely one of the best live vocal performances ever.

I was lucky enough to see her on Broadway in 1977 sing this in the Wiz!

This was Dorothy's last song from the musical THE WIZ.(1975) She sings this right before she clicks her heels 3 times and returns home. Breathe taking!

Stephanie Mills played Dorothy in the original 1975 Broadway musical The Wiz. I remember seeing her as a kid in the Wiz in the early 80's in WashingtonD.C. at Constitution Hall. I was mesmerized! She is reminiscing about playing Dorothy when she was a kid and her cast mates/friends that have passed away. She has a plethora of hits!I would suggest you react to "Sweet Sensation", "Feel the Fire" w/Teddy Pendergrass, "Never Knew Love Like This Before", "I Feel Good All Over" and "Comfort of a Man", to name a few. Tfs!

This one is all good! but what y'all want to see is her performance of "Home" on Sinbad's Summer Jam. People react to this particular live version of home. And it is a good version. However on Sinbad's Summer Jam it is the ultimate ,trust me!!

If you like Stephanie, you need to hear Vesta Williams - Sweet, Sweet, Love, She is also a great voice !!

She has always been my favorite female vocalist.

Stehanie is just a star. She's a phenom. Glad you got to her. You might want to do her performance at The Apollo doing this song. Incredible. And other artists you might check out are Lisa Fischer, Rachelle Ferrell, Patti Austin and Phyllis Hyman.

Angela Winbush too! (She is close friends with Stephanie and even wrote and performed her song "I've Learned To Respect the Power of Love")

You guys need to do some of her disco stuff like "You can get over", and "Put your body in it.

This version is awesome but Stephanie performing it at Sinbad's Summer Jam. Omg! She too us to church please treat yourselves.

I remember being in the Apollo when she sang this way back when I was too damn young to be there lol Sinbad was hosting it. My father was a big time drug dealer back then. We had box seats anytime someone came out who was worth listening to. I remember they made Barry Gordy move during the MoTown 25th anniversary show because my father and Guy Fischer wanted better seats smh 😂 it was a flex 💪🏽 that’s all. But I remember when she left off stage people were chanting her name and rooting non stop unlike anything I’ve ever heard or seen before in my life!

If you think this is amazing, you guys should react to her live version (at the Apollo). This one looks watered down by comparison! She's one of the few singers who sounds even better live than she does on the record. Another classic gem of hers is "I Feel Good All Over".
