Bruh, I literally STILL wear baggy black pants, a black shirt, several "chains" and even a spiked choker when I go to work. It's like a theme that people have liked for whatever reason so I stuck with it, LOL! But it was also my look back in high school as well. I never thought I'd be doing it again in my 30s and getting complimented for it by people older than me, haha! But yes, please do more Slipknot. They're THE gateway metal band. One thing to keep in mind when you're listening to these guys, or any metal for that matter, keep in mind these guys often have as much of a message as rap artists, not so much doubles but it's not all just screaming. It takes some time to understand the growls but looking up the lyrics at first might help you understand the song until you develop your metal ear. I'd like to see you react to more of them. Devil in I, Duality are both good places to start. Sulphur is another good one. Great message at the end. The world would be a better place if we all started taking care of each other like that.

Corey Taylor is such an amazing singer. His work with Slipknot and Stone Sour and his solo work is just incredible.

Yeah that's Corey Taylor 🙂 Also a fun fact for you, the mask you commented on being sick is the DJ Sid Wilson. The mask is actually a Transformers Starscream mask without the helmet attached. (Sid's DJ name he tours solo as is DJ Starscream) He customized it to have moving eyebrows, mouth. The original mask with the helmet had blue LED's in the top part but they were removed with the helmet. It came with glowing red eyes like in the video. The members make their own masks so Sid did all the customisations himself. It's one of my favourite of all the Slipknot masks, my second favourite is also another Sid mask and its the animatronic real face mask he wore for the we are not your kind album. Since changing to his new mask it sits on his DJ booth and mimics Corey's mic input so it sings lyrics 😂

I love everything about Corey and his various guises - such a talented man and excellent lyricist..(but no one else can see he preservation of the martyr in me) Whether it's his face melting Slipknot, right through to his acoustic shows, where the audience throws out all, and I mean ALL, sorts of songs 🤣and he takes them in his stride - I highly recommend going to one for a nights great entertainment. 💋🤘 There really is far too many Slipknot choices for me, so totally at random I'll go with 'Duality' , 'Unsainted' and the acoustic live version of 'Snuff' Keep up the good work 🤘

The lyrics remind me a lot of Grandson's Blood // Water with how hard it targets people who trade the world for a few dollars. Amazing vibes, as always, Cliff.

In that vein, if you enjoyed this I think you'd probably love Grandson. Blood // Water is what he got popular off, but his music video trio of Identity, Riptide, and Dirty are all fantastic. All of his music reminds me in some way to disruption music of the 90s and 00s like System of a Down and Rage Against The Machine. Honestly it's hard to find a song of his I outright dislike. Besides the 4 songs I recommended here, I'd say my favorites are Hold The Line (which he did as a collab with Tom Morello), Bury Me Face Down, WW3, Drones, Stigmata, and Bills. I'd love to see what you think.

Dude Cliff. Back in the day no one knew who Slipknot was behind the masks, and then the lead singer of slipknot was not masked as the lead singer of Stoned Sour. People speculated, but it wasnt confirmed for a long time. It was so dope. I loved music in those times. Also I think you should check out Static-X. Good band.

Suggestions for Slipknot Easy Mode: "Duality" Normal Mode: "No Life" Hard Mode: "Purity" GO BIG OR GO HOME! Mode: "My Plague" Wanted to give you a few options based on how heavy the song is (IMO) I think all would be good picks for you. I've been listening to these guys since like 02-03 (I would have been 11 or 12 now 32). Personally I don't really listen to anything after the first three albums aside from a couple songs. Slipknot started sounding more mainstream on Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses, and IN MY OPINION more or less lost their edge (compared to what they used to sound like in the first two albums) in their fourth album (The album this track was on this is one of the like two songs I listen to from this point on in their discography). Love that you're giving these guys a listen and are enjoying yourself so far.

The cool thing about metal is that it's entirely unpredictable. There are bands that will hit you with jazz sections out of nowhere. You never know where it's gonna go. I ABSOLUTELY 100% suggest you react to Ne Obliviscaris. I'm fucking CERTAIN that you won't be disappointed. I think as a songwriter, it will BLOW YOUR MIND!

The Devil in I live from 2014 is something you need to watch. They are an incredible sounding band, but sound even better live

What's also amazing to me is that Slipknot seems to work so well in mashups. This song's a classic, but nothing's as wild as Eyeless. If you want a good laugh check out the mashup Isosine - Psychosocial Baby. Corey Taylor was even impressed by it.

A great band that is no longer around but definitely worth a listen, HELLYEAH. Lead singer from Mudvayne (Chad Gray) and the drummer from Pantera (Vinnie Paul R.I.P) created a supergroup. Great message in a lot of their songs. I’d start with Alive and Well, WM Free, Hush, Better Man, etc.

They have many good hits, but I’d recommend you react to Duality, Solway Firth, or Unsainted next. You’re gonna love this band Cliff!
