The incomparable Roger Taylor!! He was/is a total beast and drums and vocals, and is ranked 8th out of 100 best drummers of all time. He and Brian May lead guitar are still going strong well into their seventies with amazing solo work, and touring as Queen with Adam Lambert. In over 50 years Queen has never split up!

Queen does not block their videos if you show them from the "Queen Official" channel. Live Aid is a must. It is 22 min long... grab the one with over 4.6 million views to make sure you have the right one. Remember, Queen is more than just Freddie (although he IS incredible on his own, too). All 4 members deserve recognition and praise. They all wrote songs. All but John (the bassist) sang and have/had solo careers, too. Roger's (the drummer) voice added the upper register to all their songs. Brian's guitar is famous (The Red Special) because Brian and his dad built it 60 years ago and it is still going strong. The more you learn about Queen, the more you want to know! Have fun down this amazing rabbit hole.

There are a lot of people who have a wider vocal range than Freddie, including Roger Taylor. Where Freddie excelled was his vibrato, which was a massive 7.04 Hz. Typical vibrato fluctuates between 5.4 Hz and 6.9 Hz.

This is one of the greatest live performances ever. Freddie was an absolutely untrained singer, but he could sing anything from metal to opera (it's not a joke). By listening to Aretha Franklin's records he taught himself the phrasing, by admiring to Jimi Hendrix he taught hismelf to play the guitar, he was a very gifted self made man. Pls, check out the White Queen at Hammersmith 75.

Try Queen doing White Queen as they performed at Hammersmith Odeon in 1975. Also Freddie singing his new song You Take My Breath Away at Hyde Park 1976. It is magical! And nobody has ever been able to match his abilities. Freddie Mercury had a 4 octave range and the fastest vibrato ever. There have been two scientific studies of his voice. He used parts of his throat that most singers don’t or can’t use except Tuvan singers. He used ventricular folds called false vocal chords to make his voice unique and create a subharmonic sound. Fate put him with 3 other incredible musicians to make timeless music. Go down the Queen rabbit hole! ❤good luck

YES!!!! That one particular performance of "White Queen" is, in my opinion, one of his best. The recording is OK, other live performances were good. But that one? It broke my brain. As for going down the rabbit hole - many Queen fans, including me, really pay attention to Queen reactions. It will grow your channel fast. We'll follow you down the hole and hand you the road map for the best music ever. So buckle up, hands and feet inside the ride at all times.

I highy recommend you listen to Mike Patton, lead singer of Mr Bungle, Faith No More and Tomahawk. Known as the man of a thousand voices who has a 6 octave range with vocal abilities that are beyond comprehension at times. As an example, he can replicate the sound of a didgeridoo. His vocal abilities are phenemonal. As a massive Queen fan of 40 years I will say Freddie was an incredible singer but even he had his limits. Get yourself down the Mike Patton rabbit hole and your mind will be blown.

Give you a little Brian May and his father built his guitar when he was a teen. From an old mantle, table top,bar from an old backpack. And things from the mothers sewing box. It’s called the red special. All band members have a educational degrees. Lots more about if you interested

Freddie was the most amazing singer ever. He had a proven 4 octave range. I was lucky to see them live many times. Freddy died of AIDS in Nov 1991. He was one of the first celebrities to die from it. Unlike in the movie, Freddie never told his band mates he had AIDs until the very end. But they know he was very sick. He refused to talk to them about the nature of his illness. Brian said in interviews they worked it out on their own, but we’re not sure, and wouldn’t ask because they wanted to respect Freddie’s privacy.

Incredible performance! Freddie and the boys give it their all and it is perfection from all four of them. Roger kicks a$$ on those vocals while not missing a beat. This song is almost a duet between Roger and Freddie. At the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, all the performers said that there was no way they could do all the Queen songs and most of them had to change the key in the ones they chose to perform. There was not rivalry against Freddie's voice, instead they took aim at the band and some used to say that Queen was all lights, fireworks and costumes and just didn't mention the caliber of Queen's musicianship. There are always egos among artists but Queen has prevailed where others, even exceptionally talented bands, have failed. I love this! Another great live Queen performance is "White Queen" live at Odeon, Hammersmith 12/24/1975. You will be blown away by this performance. Thank you for your reaction.

Omg you didn’t recommend Live Aid ! You have to react to Live Aid 1985. That performance has been deemed the best live performance ever.

He was born in Tanzania to Parsi-Indian parents as Farrokh Bulsara and moved to London, England with his parents where he later changed his name to Freddie Mercury and started the band Queen. He died in November 1991 of HIV Aids; he was gay. All the other band members are still living to this day.

Freddie died of AIDS in 1991. Much too soon. A loss that we cannot (fans) still fathom. ❤

There’s a song that Roger Taylor (The drummer) sings lead while he plays the drums. Look up I’m in Love With My Car
