If you have the energy, do watch the Roger cam for this song. He not only shreds his kit, keeping perfect time but he SINGS THOSE HIGH BACKUP VOCALS AS WELL! You will be exhausted by the end of it. Trust me. You may even need oxygen. Aside from Freddie, Roger is the hardest working member of Queen!

It's always fun to watch someone who isn't familar with Queen watch their first video, asking who the heck the frontman is. Second Queen video, they are calling Freddie by his first name. Third Queen video, they are calling John, Roger, and Brian by their first names as well. You know they are all in by that point 😆💖

If you want to see some of Roger's drumming, look at the "Queen Roger Taylor Cams." There is one specifically for this song and it's freakin' amazing! All the Roger Cams are awesome. There are John Deacon Cams, too. I haven't seen many Brian May Cams, but he is in the front lots, so easier to see. I have seen some Freddie Cams... always fun to watch Freddie! You're doing great with Queen... keep going!

It was a sold out audience of 72,000 at Wembley. It sold so fast they did 2 nights at Wembley and still there was a demand for more. They put on another at Knebworth with 150,000 attending. This 1986 Wembley was an excellent concert. Please react to Play the Game live at Montreal 1981. Also,Love of My Life live at Wembley 1986 is a must see. The control of 76,000 people is utterly amazing.

May the cosmic energy send you always good vibes. To me, Freddie was on another level, side by side with Mozart, Chopin and Maria Callas, just to name some of those genius. When he went away, the world really lost "a singer of songs and lover of love".

"Now I'm Here" was composed by Brian May from his hospital bed. In 1974, Queen joined the group Mott the Hoople as their opening band on Hoople's American tour. The tour was a success for Queen but unfortunately, Brian developed a case of hepatitis and the band had to leave the tour before they played the last date and get Brian home. While Brian recovered in the hospital, the band returned to the studio and began recording their third album, Sheer Heart Attack. The band visited Brian frequently and would bring him tapes of the material that they were working on. He became concerned because his recovery was taking so long that they might replace him with another guitarist. But he needn't worry. The boys, especially Freddie, kept reassuring him that they were just waiting until he could rejoin them. Plus, the band didn't need to get another guitarist, since they had John Deacon. For example, John played both lead and bass guitar on the song "Killer Queen", though they did leave a place for Brian's guitar solo to be added to the tracks when he was better. But Brian was concerned because was not able to contribute to the production of this album. So he wrote, "Now I'm Here" to commemorate Queen's first tour of America. His lyrics included references to the tour such as, "America's new bride to be", or "Down in the dungeon, just Peaches and me" which is a reference to a famous Rock n' Roll bar in the French Quarter of New Orleans. (Peaches was the nickname of Brian's girlfriend at the time). And, of course, the line "Down in the city, just Hoople and me, all right" is a reference to the band, Mott the Hoople who Queen will be forever grateful for giving them their first opportunity to tour America and who taught them so much about touring. They are still friends with the members of Mott the Hoople. FYI - There were 72,000 people in the audience.

This is a great performance of this song written by Brian May about the first tour Queen ever took as a band when they were the support group for Mott The Hoople. It was the only time that Queen toured and was not the headline band. This was often the opening number for Queen concerts because it is a super high energy song and it gets the crowd all amped up. HaHaHa, Roger always keeps up even when it would be impossible for someone else to do so. Can you imagine yourself in this crowd, anticipating the show beginning, waiting, waiting, so excited...then Queen comes on the stage and blasts you with this song??? Holy #$%#!! Thank you for your reaction. "Go, Johnny Go" is a hat tip to Chuck Berry .

He was a boxer in school, also played hockey & was a long distance runner , all of which built stamina &lung capacity. If you didn't notice, for a slightly built, skinny guy he was barrel chested. Hence, the powerful lungs to fuel the amazing voice. He also played tennis & golf & swam. Also used to work out with weights. People don't think of him as athletic, but he was big on physical fitness & health. .

Freddie Mercury owns Wembley. Stole the show at Live Aid with one of the greatest live performances of all time. Sold out two shows back to back in 86. Sold it out again in 92, and he wasn't even alive at that point! Watch the ENTIRE Live Aid set next, its Queen's most iconic performance and Freddie has the crowd in the palm of his hand.

At the teaser exhibit of the Sotheby's Auction House in NYC (a preview of the grand London auction in September) a worn pair of Freddie's high top Adidas Trainers was one of just twenty items on display from his Garden Lodge home in Kensington. Given this was their last tour, to think it might be that pair we see here...Strange to see such a personal items remains all these years later. It's been said he loved a good auction...his will be one to charm them all.

If you’re interested.. I believe there is a video out on the You Tubes that isolates on Roger during one nite of this 2 nite Wembley appearance (in 1986) They would have changed up the songs for the two nites so the audience wouldn’t have seen the same show if they went both nites. Freddie was all over the stage.. and the other three were on fire for these performances. Queen is considered one of the best live performing bands in history… And - you really still need to set aside some time and react to the 20 min live set at Live Aid (1985)! Thanks for reacting to this gem!!!
