He only made 50000 by drive records....They wanted him to do more disco....Pete said no, he wanted to do rock.
🎶The idle mind is a playground for the devil!!!🎶🎵 Between the two songs that were big for him in the late 70s, THIS was the one for me. That 45 got A LOT of play .🤗🤌🏾💜💫✨🔥
Just Jammin back in my Army days , Do you wanna get funky with me, let it ride . hope all is well young man
Bringing back my early teen years. The year's go by in the blink of an eye😢👍👍✌️
Military Days Overseas!!! Sweet Memories!! #Mighty70s🎶♨️♨️
My favorite line from the song is “the idle mind is a playground for the devil”. So true!
Huge song from 1977. Loved that Saxophone solo, it sounds like it's being played from the pits of Hell or something LOL. Just a Jammer of a song 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You are reviewing some of my favorite songs and I am loving it!😊😊😊
But remember, A LOT of the music played in the discos/clubs was Funk, R&B, Funk Jazz, Funk Rock, any music with a funky rhythm that was danceable was being played prior to there being an “official” Disco genre. So just because “some” music was now being produced with a specific beat and that beat constituted that it was “Disco” does not necessarily mean that the public took it as such. Case in point, A LOT of the music CHIC produced was not necessarily “Disco” music although “some” want to categorize them as a Disco band.
Oh yeah, this one and “Dance With Me” got everyone out on the dance floor! And yes JJ, we all sounded like that after wearing ourselves out from all the dancing 😂
He also wrote Madonna’s hit “Material Girl”

Old School Rollerskating Jammmm❤
Red alert! Sample: DJ QUIK Boogie Till You Conk Out,. I have practically no sample identifying skills but I do have a trusty Google search. I remember this track from the dance floor. Great request & reaction!🎶🎧🎶 I always enjoy hearing J humming along with or singing along with a song in just right amount for a reaction.🖤 The outro was 🔥!
This jam would fill the dance floor at the discotheque. It was so funky!
it's def a funk/disco mesh. great jam!

Nice selection …the T.K. Disco label had a few classics… HERMAN KELLY & LIFE - DANCE TO THE DRUMMER’S BEAT T-CONNECTION - DO WHAT YOU WANNA DO QUARTZ - BEYOND THE CLOUDS RALPH MACDONALD - CALYPSO BREAKDOWN RALPH MACDONALD - JAM ON THE GROOVE KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND - IM YOUR BOOGIE MAN KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND - I GET LIFTED
I didn't know Peter Brown was white at first, but this was a club must! The dance floor would be full of party people. Good times for sure!

Peter’s father was an electrical engineer, his mom an artist. Both gave him skills in creativity, recording and mixing.

@@imar3248 thanks for that info, but what happened to him? Does he still make music?

@@rosemarywatson1231 I heard a few years ago that he had new music out but before that, left the industry in the 80s due to a hearing issue.

It's not two songs. You'd have to hear the whole thing in it's entirety, then you'd get it. No worries.
Hi from Britain, just found your channel in the last few weeks, great to see you've reacted to stuff that is less mainstream, have a listen to one of his other hits, Can't Be Love (Do It To Me Anyway), released in 1980, when i was DJing in the 80's it was a massive club track, how about checking out The Bar-Kays, Sex-O-Matic, or The Fatback Band, I Found Lovin, thanks
my cousin's best man
