I was fortunate to have seen it before it got taken down. Not knowing what the original sounds like, the song in itself is beautiful and Mori gave it a soulfulness that transcends the songwriting. I am very sorry that the original singer did not like Mori's cover, but IMO it's a compliment when someone makes a better version of your song. She (Andra) should have just done like Dolly Parton when she gave the permission to Whitney Houston to cover I Will Always Love You, i.e. be gracious.

everytime i hear her sing she touches my soul, no matter how many times i listen to this song it put tears in my eyes. she is a very special singer for me the best ever.she have the whole package. no dis respect to all the other singer outhere she is byfar on top of the highest pedestal looking down to the rest of them.

I agree but I don't look at her as a "cover killer". I mean she definitely sings covers that are better than the originals most times, but she has her own music that is pretty good and I have yet to hear somebody cover her songs better than her. I don't think it's possible lol. If her songs were played on the radio stations in the states regularly, they would be big hits because they are great songs . For example, if Taylor Swift were to do the same Bruno Mars melody as Mori did, It would be a smash hit because it's in the USA and would have the backing of music directors that are well known and it wouldn't be near as good as Mori's version, I could tell you that.

Morissette is the cover queen. In my opinion she’s one of the best if not THE BEST LIVE performer/vocalist currently in the music industry. You can react to many artist on your channel but most will probably be videos of the artist singing in a studio or in their homes. Where on the other hand majority of Morissette videos are either on the Wish Bus or performing on stage singing LIVE … not engineered enhanced performances in their studio/home. Morissette’s LiVE stage performances sounds just like her recordings if not better! So keep in mind when you compare artists … compare them like for like. Some artists cannot replicate the sound from their recordings when singing live on stage. Some artist don’t even have live stage performances to react to and you wonder why? As Jason Catron from Vocal Lab Collective said in his reaction to Morissette’s performance of Defying Gravity and as recently the reaction to the Mitsubishi Rock medley. “This is the same voice and the same artist but different character and those tones and little timbres that are coming out are so different and it’s so good” … “I admire how many vocal colors are in her voice” I have KZread Music premium mainly because of Morissette. I have all her music from her KZread channel including every version of her songs from her Signature EP. All her WishBus performances, Asia’s Song Festival 2017&2018, the MYX LIVE “I want to know what love is”, Stone Cold, Nothing’s Going Stop Us Now”. Also many iconic performances from fan cams like her recent performances with David Foster to her live stream on Facebook … plus many many more. Personally I think you would do yourself injustice if you didn’t listen to her Live performances. 👍

I'd say her and Babymetal. They are AMAZING live. I could watch Babymetal live shows all day every day and will have a giant smile on my face the entire time. Mori is similar. In terms of entertainment value they are pretty close. In terms of actual vocal agility Mori wins out over Su-Metal, but Su is improving every year. You you guys were talking about Mariah Carey and Celene Dion and others like that. I would HIGHLY recommend you check out her singing I Wanna know what Love is live. Pretty sure you're going to get your socks knocked off with that. If you want emotion, check out Could you be Messiah. That's an AMAZING song and its full of emotion, especially at the end of the song. Anyhow, enjoy!

I think why you can't help but cry when watching some Filipino singers is because they're good at storytelling, it's not about the high notes but the feeling they put into the song that hits you.

Gosh I enjoy you both, it's so enjoyable to watch your interaction with one another. Subscribed first time I viewed BTW. I would like to request any or all of her originals from her EP 'Signature". She and her husband co-wrote all 5 which are 'Trophy', 'Will You Stay', 'Mirror', 'Phoenix' and 'Love You Still'. Her live band performances of all of 5 are top notch but if you want raw emotion, check out her 'sunset version' of 'Love You Still'. It's heartbreaking. It's regarding the estrangement from her family and, in particular, her father who was opposed to her marriage and thus no communication. I hope one day day they can patch things up. Thanks for supporting the best contemporary vocalist out there at present.
