The best duet I have ever heard isn’t even a duet....

In case you do not know Marcelito's story ~ Marcelito's father was incarcerated and, at just 7 yrs old, his mother abandoned him on the streets of a poverty ridden city in The Philippines. He would sing to comfort himself when he was afraid and alone. To survive, he cleaned chicken coups for coins and, he would sing to the chickens. Every time I hear him sing The Prayer, I get choked up as that was marcelito's prayer as a child ~ for God to provide a safe place and for wisdom in how to survive. With all of that, Marcelito remained kind, gentle and humble. His character and gentle spirit add a magical touch to each song that he sings. He has had absolutely no vocal training and is self taught. He can sing all genre's of music, both male and female vocals and in 6 languages. He is an advocate for the poor and abandoned people of The Philippines and he is paying it forward.

Thanks to listening to this singer everyday, a 90-year old like me could manage to live on all alone under the present plight without any fear and/or desperation.

What I find amazing is Marcelito's Italian is PERFECTION. Hell, it's better than some of my relatives, Shh, don't tell them I said that. He switches between registers and languages so fast and so accurately it is astounding.

and when he first did that song, he barely spoke english, and no italian at all! he "just" sings as well (in that range, and with that color of the voice, and in those languages) as he heard Celine sing in english, and Andrea in italian ... :-)

Not as good as Marcelito of course but I'm happy of what I have and I treasure it so much. You don't have to compare yourself to anyone. We are great on our own rights . Marcelito doesn't sing falsetto. He was born with the ability to sing in both soprano and tenor ranges and does both beautifully....and he's never had any vocal training! Awesome man.

Love the Aussie accent! Marcelito Castro Pomoy IS THE REAL DEAL. Check out his life story ; it is worthy of a movie. I had the great privilege of meeting and watching him live in concert in June of 2019 in Toronto. Watching him live was like an out of body experience. The videos DO NOT do his voice any justice.
