‘69 child here and yeah, Zeppelin and Robert Plant were the epitome of rock gods. Unfortunately it also meant I was too young to see them live, however, I saw Plant and Page on their No Quarter tour and that went some way to quench my thirst!!!

Nope, the best drummer of all time, but otherwise? Freddie and Bon are way better and there are a LOT better guitar players around. Still one of the greatest rock bands of all time. And yes, Whole lotta love is one of the biggest rock songs ever. Immigrant song and Stairway are as good as this one, but this has the greatest lyrics.

Led Zeppelin. 1970s. They did hard rock, folk, middle eastern, fantasy, boogies, everything. They were one of the most diverse bands and yet still classed as hard rock only. They were made up of the very creative and musical GOATs. To this day there have been many imitadors who were far from the original and vey pale compared to. Not one could come close to being like the original. They were in a class of their own.

Each of these 4 geniuses are the GOATS of their crafts, together they are GODS of MUSIC. Robert Plant lead singer & harmonica* Jimmy Page lead guitarist band founder producer miser & editor* John Paul Jones (JPJ) bass guitar keyboards & mandolin etc.* John (Bonzo) Bonham greatest drummer ever. They had their first rehearsal on August 19 (1968) by October had their first album recorded mixed & edited in 36 hours. It was released on January 12,1969. Greatest debut album ever. They play Rock Blues Folk Funk Prog etc. every song on every album is amazing. Sadly the band couldn’t go on, when their drummer passed away in (1980). Lives anything from Madison Square Gardens (1973), my favorite Since I’ve Been Loving You. My other favorite live is from Earls Court May 25,1975 the best version of In My Time Of Dying. Please please deep dive this fantastic band, you won’t regret it. Thank you for your reaction.

@@NatReacts_ a little more for you, they sold out all of their concerts, they were the first to break the record for a single band the largest crowed. They would preform for 3 to 4 hours nonstop, & songs at a concert are never the same. They in their lives improvise quite a bit, longer solos or adding to his vocals. They often played 3 to 5 nights in one city, at huge venues & selling out each night. In 2007 the 3 remaining members & the drummers son, did a celebration concert for one night. In just 2 hours, there were requests for 20 million tickets, & there were only 20,000 seats. They ended up doing a lottery for those tickets, that’s how much fans wanted to see them play again.

Loved the review. Led Zeppelin IS rock. Maybe someone later on gave it a sub genre designation, but as far as we were concerned in the day, Led Zeppelin was rock. Should you decide to do another reaction to one of their songs, I highly suggest "Kashmir." Be sure on this particular one NOT to do the live version (you can barely make it out as the original song). And while I would normally suggest to people not to worry about the lyrics, knowing what he's saying really enhances this particular song. (Just one suggestion. For all us bangers out here, get that volume dial up as far as it will go, and let us worry about the implications.) :-)

They were inspired by the Beatles, who were inspired by the rock pioneers of the 50s - Gene Vincent, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Cark Perkins, Duane Eddy, Buddy Holly, etc., etc.

If you want to see a great remake of this look up Chester Bennington from Linkin Park performing this at Rock to Recovery. It’s a totally different side to him & an amazing performance

All Rock n Roll is based on the Blues. This style of Rock is called, “Hard Rock”. This is not Heavy Metal in any way shape or form. Zeppelin was a Hard Rock Blues based band primarily. They breached other genres too like English Renaissance and even Regae. They could play anything and make it sound good.
